Upgrades

Since I am (which I consider) a basher and not a digibasher I thought this idea should go here. Attached are some updates I started doing out of .... need. With some Illistrator and Photoshop I did some bashing of the original Tech Spec cards to go with my Classics/customs. Using Google images I tried to use some of the newer anime takes on G1 and place them onto old-school Tech Specs. I still need images for the following if anyone can help: Blurr, Cosmos, Grimlock, Kickback, Octane, Ramjet, Scourge, Seaspray, Springer, Swoop, Warpath, Wreck-Gar, Wheelie. So I have 2 commissions both wanting Alt Reflector. One, Brazilian, wanting to use the Alt Mirage, while another, Icanfly wants to use Alt Windcharger. Now, I think I've got a pretty good idea what I can do with the Windcharger, if I can find a decent shade of that orchid-- But now Brazilian wanted the body to be more silver, and keeping the stripes..But also wants it to look like a real color tone for a car..So, any ideas as to what would make for a decent likeness of Reflector, using that mold and color scheme?

Here is a picture of my dinobot alternator on grimlock I decided to paint his chest like it should look like as if it were the cartoon version, of course it still needs another hand of paint on his chest and added some Boss decals. On Sludge he is a custom being done for a customer, I still need to paint a little bit of here and there plus add the logo decals of the autobot symbol. Please note I did him from Ricochet with a darker grey metallic silver color other than silverstreak being a lighter silver. The color being used gives him a more feeling of a dinobot in the cartoon and the gold rims and gold lines on the rear window help out resemble his gold feet. Also t…

The War Within Shockwave based on Don Figueroa's concept art. It's scratchbuild from styrene. Some of you may remember I started this guy 2 years ago. It was put on hold for about a year and I've finally able to finish it. He appears blue in some of the pics. Those were taken without flash because flash sometimes cover the details. I've included a couple pics using flash and the color is purple which is the true color in real life. I've also included a couple of pics showing the lighting (which can be turned on by pressing the button on top of his left forearm).

As soon as I saw Movie-CJ I had dreams of finally killing of my Movie Wreckage and making up a Movie-Windcharger. I also happen to be a big fan of the Swindle Mold and Payload - if only it weren't for them damn Lens heads.... I finally got W's head on CJ and it just didn't look right.... Certainly not like Windcharger. And i wonder if i am just getting cold feet or if the idea is actually a bust. So I pulled out my parts box and started playing head swap. Its a pity, Arcee never made it to the movie, but nonetheless they came out with a beautiful toy. The best Arcee they ever produced. But I can't say the same about her face. Its a tad too ugly to me. So I decided to give her a face lift. Work is still in progress and I hope to make more progress in the next week to come. Do check back at My Custom blog for updates

anyone else have problems reading some of the posts on here when they firststarted? Here's an easy tutorial for how to add 'rare earth magnet' joints to your customs. I've tried several methods, and this has provided the most secure and stable technique. Ingredients Needed: · apoxy glue (I recommend Super Glue plastic fusion) · dremel kit or a drill · 1 rare earth magnet (these are at most art/craft stores, or home depot. They cost about $4 for a 6 pack at michael's) · X-acto knife (or just the blade) · 1 small washer (the thinner the better) To begin with, I disassembled movie Starscream's arms. ok, well I have an extra alt skids, I have already made a soundwave, blaster, and a bumblebee from skids. I also have a headless alt rollbar(selling the head if anyone's interested) I had thought of making a megatron from it, not sure if i should attempt a 'chroming' project yet. how difficult is chroming? I am also looking to do something with an alt ricochet. never really liked it, thought about reshelling him into an alt Kup using a Chevy Ssr ora Pt Cruiser, but I saw someone already did. not that i am not allowed to make my owner but I figure I'd see if anyone has any suggestions
