Upgrades

Hey Here are my alt Insecticons: Kickback, Shrapnel, Bombshell, and their leader Venom. Pretty happy with the 3 black ones, but not sure bout Venom. Something seems missing, and I really dont want to put bright orange on him, so the bronze was in its place Ideas? Comments? Regards JL

Hi guys! After seeing so many battle scared Primes, I gave it a go too. What do you think? Here are some other things: Because I'm not a huge fan of shootable projectiles, I've modded these cannons a bit: Just shortened the missiles and glued them into the launchers, then put a coat of clear revell paint on them. Welll.... Decided to repaint and/or mod my Rescue Ratchet. The paint apps (or lack of paint) annoy me more and more as time go on......so time to repaint/kitbash! I was initially thinking that the mold could fit Rodimus Prime..... before I start about mod ideas and paint schemes I was wondering if any other "muscly/brawny" Autobots/Decepticons might work for the mold? I know Rodimus isn't exactly chunky but I'm thinking the alt mode might resemble Rodimus. So yeah, big, muscular characters before I decide to do Rodimus? ^_^ All ideas considered Riiiichard

I'm looking into experimenting with custom painting, and I was wondering what would be the best paint to use. I already have some Tamiya brand acrylic paint, but if there's anything better out there, let me know please. :)

Streetwise I used the visor from Jazz on Prowl's head. RedAlert I had used Alt Jazz's head without the visor, but it cracked & I tried to glue it back together. It's just a big mess now. I need a new Alt head & it this point I don't care what head it is. (So pm me what ya got!) I just used DC's head cuz no head pissed me off. I will say this reminied me of how much I hated placing stickers as a kid. I'll post car mode pics later. Any advice welcome. :tfgrin

I've been away from the work bench for a while, due to a busted camera and a heavy work schedule, but I finally got a chance to dust off an old idea from the pile. I picked up this little guy in a set of no-name beast formers around Christmas. I actually had a set of these guys when the original Transformers were a bit too expensive for my Mom to buy me as a treat for being good while she shopped for socks. Looking at him again after all these years, I realized that he might make a smart Senator Ratbat, as he appeared in MEGATRON ORIGIN. Finally got the arms mounted on this guy. Hopefully with a bit more carving around the shoulders, they'll actually fit into alt-mode. :tfsadsweatdrop Really thought I'd have a lot more space behind those seats. Paintjob need a few touch-ups as well, before I call it done. If I come across a cheap rumble, I might give spectro a go too, with red bot mode parts instead of blue. Even though I prefer the beefiness of the jeep arms, don't think I'm going to try that one again. Plus I think I'll try windcharger into viewfinder too. Was gonna keep my spyshot in one piece, but that might change after seeing sami's reflectors.
