Landmine's claws immediately struck me as being where the trash collectors would dump residential trash (curbside pickup or whatever), then it would raise up or flip forward to dump it into the truck.

 

yeah that's kind of the idea. i'm just wondering if when i lop off the cannons, i'm missing an opportunity to put SOMETHING there. or if this is a case of less is more.

 

Well, you can still give it grabby arms. It looks like it's gonna be a rather large garbage truck, so I'd assume it picks up residential as well as city dumpsters, which the workers aren't gonna be lifting and dumping on their own. ;)

 

You can have arms with grabbers that hook onto the posts on a dumpster and raise it up to dump into the top of the truck.

I could do it backwards - the hole's near the back. depending on how long and flexible they'd be, those arms may or may not have a brace between them to keep them in sync. or they may just be independent arms (like human) that just work together. the one glaring hole in the vehicle mode unfortunately goes all the way down - there's no floor to the vehicle mode. look here:

 

 

see that hole? even when all put together, there's nothing there. i can't think of anything to put there (unless I MAKE something, but then where will it go in bot mode?) to give BIACS a vehicle floor. (otherwise, he'd make a pretty useless garbage truck, lol)

 

here's what i'm trying to do to counter some width issues:

see how the sidewalls are really stretching out of place to meet the back trailer? i think positioned right, the pegs that are on it can fit into new holes i'll put in the trailer.

i also came up with a more concealing and closing-off way for the UM trailer to connect to the cab:

The blue piece that touches the side of the cab will have a hole drilled for it. the two posts on the forearm (that my thumb is near) will peek through the styrene wall i'll put there, and somehow be an extra connecting spot. The UM shins fit perfectly right behind the cab. before (you can see in pictures above), they were laying over the cab roof.

As for the lifter arms, the smaller portion of the Neo-Shifter pieces have some open holes in them, that you could peg a brace into.

i lined up the Super Mode RID Prime shield. that would fit, but yikes it would be covered in trash. Maybe something a little more plain. plus i think if he wore that (damn it fits perfectly too!) it would take away from his efforts to not look like Prime.

 

but the idea is sound...just trying to think of another piece that could go there.
