Battle Scarred Prime

Recommended Posts

Hi guys! After seeing so many battle scared Primes, I gave it a go too. What do you think?

Here are some other things:

Because I'm not a huge fan of shootable projectiles, I've modded these cannons a bit:

Just shortened the missiles and glued them into the launchers, then put a coat of clear revell paint on them.

And now something that had to be done:

Nice work Zero! :clap

Prime actually looks like his paint has been scraped to reveal metal underneath.

If you're brave enough you could try something I've been contemplating for a few days...

take a hotknife or fine sanding tool (dremmel maybe) and make nicks and slices in his body in non-risky places, like the meat of his arms and legs. Then paint them black inside the cut and brush the edges of the cut with silver. Should look exactly like a something sliced him up.

Or you could wait til after Christmas and I'll show you pics of my first try at it!

Either way, good work dude, and keep at it!

Thanks, but I don't want him to look THAT damaged. :07laugh

learn...to...SPELL!

IT´S SCARRED,K?

Also,it looks like glitter is randomly applied.

I think the damage is applied a bit to liberally. It looks more like he crashed into a truck full of steel wool than he was in a battle. You should focus on individual sections of his vehicle mode, like scratching up the front end to make it look like he's been ramming intto Decepticons all day. Maybe adding some bullet holes and scratches to the grill and hood.

Zero's learning how to do this stuff, just like some of you need to learn how to be a little less harsh in your criticism of other peoples' work. Even so, Sso02V's suggestions are quite good, and I might try them out when I get the chance.

Oh, and maybe the intention is for Prime to be slightly more scared than scarred? lol

thats quite uncalled for. nobody likes a spelling/grammer nazi. ZOMG IT'S TEH INTERWEBZ AND EVARYBIDY ISN'T PREFAKT SPELLARS!!!!1ELVENTYONE!!

now, on topic, the battle scarring looks good on the painted areas, kind of lacking on the unpainted parts, but thats from the plasticy look of those areas, not the way it was painted. as for firing projectiles, eh, the firing part doesn't bother me, the over sized and over elongated parts bother me, but thats a consequence of living in a world where kids are stupid i guess lol. i've been meaning to paint the clear bits of my LC brawl for a while now, just havn't gotten around to buying the paint to do it with.

Thank you!!! :tfgrin Oh, good one!!! :tflaugh

@Buddykiller:

That was my main concern that the missiles were too long, that and the fact that most launchers of my TFs are having hair triggers. :tfgrin

hmm... looks like someone wanted to ruin the nicely painted truck they saw, tried removing the paint, did much of it, then got beaten by a very pissed off optimus!
