I bought a kabaya metroplex kit off Might Gaine (ebay), and since my WST collection needed more beef (and I wasn't willing to pay $50+ for a fullsized metroplex) I decided to fix up the KO and make him shine. Literally. clear coat ftw.

I'm looking at doing a fairly involved Alternators kitbash and reshell. One of the donor cars I'm looking at is a diecast. While I'd love to use the diecast, I'm wary as to how difficult it will be chopping up the metal. Has anyone done this before? If so, what were the tools you used, and do you have any tips?

Here's my first attempt at doing a some what dry brush attempt. I didn't want this to be the smooth flat tones I usually do..For this I wanted him to look like he's been in action, been burnt while out in space and blasted by the suns radiation etc..I wanted his color base to show through, but, be tarnished. I started out by painting him with the hammered black Krylon that I've used before on my Nemesis Prime stuff, and then took small amounts of paint to add color..I wanted more color to show through then not, but I didn't want it to be solid...Over all, I think he turned out pretty well actually. And now he's BaCon's. Hope you like sir:)

I know what you're thinking: that Crosswise mold? Snoresville man! It's all over the place! This horse has been flogged to death and flogged again, sir, and it was ugly to begin with. Quarterpanels are hanging off the poor guy's arse, his shoulder-doors are silly, and he's got yet another tedious, kibbley shield. Or does he? What sorcery is this?! you are undoubtedly asking. Here's how it works: That's two medium double ball joints and an h-joint on the roof/windscreen. If I had it to do over I'd swivel the hood on his back so that the outside is showing; but a lot of stock bots have open, busted backs clearly not meant to be seen, so I'm not too upset. I…

Wreck-Gar would have to be the final character from G1 that I do not have a bot to update with. I was looking over the new Animated Prowl for a possible mold, resculpted head and repaint might help: http://www.seibertron.com/toys/fullsize.ph...=1&image=48 But I am afraid that he will be too "animated" looking to fit in with the Classics. Which leads me to my request...can anyone find me a Auto Vajin from Masked Rider series. I have scoured Ebay and google to no avail. I have seen some custom Junkions using this mold but cannot for the life of me find a supplier anywhere: http://www.tfw2005.com/radicons-customs/he...reckgar-164440/ Any help would…

Here's Classics Grimlock! Grimlock was one of my favorite G1 characters. My most memorable childhood G1 toys were Powermaster OP and old Grimmy. Now that I'm into repainting figures, I decided to do Classics Grimlock. This repaint is special for me 'coz its the first one that I used automotive primer on. It's just amazing! It makes the paint job so sturdy and leaves me wondering why I was too lazy to try it out before. :P After coating with grey auto primer, I basecoated him with gloss black automotive paint. I then did multiple layers of drybrushing using Tamiya Acrylic gunmetal, metallic grey, flat aluminum, and titanium silver -- just like my ironhide. Gold par…

I currently have 4 Alternetor Meister's: One as Reprolabel.com's Hydradread, Two as G1 jazz, and one blank meister. I'm peeling the stickers off of my 2nd G1 Jazz. Which Meister should I apply custom stickers too? The G1 jazz will be perfect once the stickers are removed, the current blank has a "notch" in the roof, centered where it meets the windshield. The new stickers, created to look like BOTCON Bugbite, will not cover the flaw. But will they be enough to distract from the notch? i want to keep one as Meister, all white.
