Still Practicing...sorry to keep posting. I actually like this for several reasons. 1 - it was easy, 2 - because Brawn is one of my favs, and 3 - I learned that slight changes in fine detail can make or break a piece. also help with practicing painting straight, small lines (windshield).

I had to jump on the bandwagon and give my Classics Starscream a much-needed "better" paintjob than the factory version, which seemed so lifeless and blah. Anyway, not much to really elaborate on here. I used some testors acrylic paint to give this sucker something more.....a slightly weathered, more realistic look and feel, while still retaining that comic book/animation look. If any Classics figure needed some help, this one was it. I still have a couple of touch-ups to do on the front of the legs, but otherwise, this sucker is done. Feel free to offer any comments and constructive criticism (keep in mind, I'm still new to this and I've only cranked out one previous…

  6. Started by kalron,

Hello there, Does anyone have a Movie Payload that they can take some shots of in almost ALT mode? I wanted to know what was within the boxy rear compartment. Is it possible to remove the entire square rear cab, or is there a bunch of robot kibble in there? I was thinking of using him as the ever elusive Kup as I cannot find another Deluxe mold to do a Classics Kup. Any help would be great.

  8. Started by kalron,

Found a 2 piece Classics pack with Prime and Megs cheap. I needed a Warpath for my Classics so I made an attempt to follow Jin's lead. He even helped me get old megatrons head off. I had Landmines head lying around, so that would be the only difference here. No hands yet, and I may keep Megs cannon just cause I like it. Magnets are FUN!!! The Dremel is your FRIEND!!! Any thoughts before I paint it would be great...and don't expect my paint job to be anything near Jin's quality.

So, I have a WIP almost done of... the final fight between Megatron and Optimus prime, (movie style) One cool twist I want to put on the custom, is it's display is the actual corner seen in the movie, from Hollywood's Westwood village. Now, I've been looking around on ebay for those model train plastic buildings. I want to line one end of the display with buildings, and the rest with busted cars and street. However, I don't know jack about these model kits, and don't see ones to scale with the customs they will be displayed with. For instance, I've found one's like this one, but it's only 7½" tall! according to the auction, it's "HO" scale. I've heard I shoul…
