The Japanese Classics releases looks a bit better than the US ones, but some still need some work in the paint department (Starscream is definitely one of them). The Japanese release looks better than the one we got before, but it's still lacking a bit.

 

I really need to pick up a couple of these to complete the original seekers.

The chrome really ruins it though.

I agree. The chrome just looks completely out of place and it takes away from a pretty nice figure. (I still think a repaint is needed on the Japanese version, but it's loads better than the previous one).

And megatron looks knockoffish to me,but i´m likely to buy him anyway,since i missed him when classics was out.

The first henkei i´m going for will be starscream,i desperately need to own that mold.

I hope they bring out ramjet as well.

I'm sure they'll release Ramjet soon enough. I'm also looking forward to getting my hands on a couple of the Starscream figures. I already picked up what I wanted the first time around, now it's time to pick up "extras" to use for any repaints/kitbashes I may do. I do think these look better than the original releases, but they do have that "fake/KO" look to them. I've touched up most of my Classics (with the exception of Astrotrain--I still plan on repainting him "toon-style" eventually). So there's no need to pick them up because of the better paintjobs they have. Anyone with a brush, some paint, and 10 minutes can easily crank out something that looks better than the Hasbro/Takara/Tomy versions.
