looks great I like it

I am using Tamiya spray paint. Yes my coat of paint doesnt stick quite well too..

Its due to the coat of oil on the toy. It will help if you wash the parts before painting on it.

:tflaugh

ah. i brushed my paint on. why would they put oil on a toy??>

Because it wasn't originally on the toy, it was on the molds. It's called "mold release", and without it the plastic would stick to the mold. They wipe it off, but they don't get all of it, there's still an infinitessimal amount left. Not enough to feel, but enough to mess up some paints.

Thanks for all the kind comments.

HI Rumblebee,

I sculpt the head myself from the original Acree head.

It gives me a good guage on the size of it.

Alphamagnus:

Brushing actually leaves a thick coat of toy. Which will inevitably increase the chance of paint chip

after i chipped it all off I figured out to just leave the silver part on here legs alone, it was the only spot where the parts rubbed together. I guess i'll have to pick up some spray cans. if i plan to do a bot with suck limited space, THX

This was my first run in with that problem, and it happened to both of my repaints of her. I usually give them a shower and a wipe down. this mold must have had alot of sticking probs, and needed more oil than normal

this looks outstanding! so, did I miss something? can she transform?

nice work either way.
