Just got back from seeing RotF (midnight screening, first in the city) and I was thoroughly impressed. Besides some human and college bits (which weren't bad, just filler as far as I was concerned) it's a totally solid movie with nothing major to complain about. Mass shifting. Some of us love it, some of us hate it. So, there's been some debate as to whether or not mass shifting should be in the sequel. I've been doing a lot of thinking on this, and I've come to the conclusion that mass shifting has to pass one test for me to personally be okay with it: The Bond Gadget Test. Basically the point of this thread is to let people talk about the movie without needing to spoiler tag everything, and without people Starscreaming somebody hasn't used spoiler tags. I saw it today, and I can't honestly review a movie that has giant robots that turn into other things fighting other giant robots that turn into other things and also has a hot chick, but my gf liked it so that says a lot. The scene with Sam searching his room and the Autobots hiding from his parents was my favourite. :07laugh

The minor changes they made in this head sculpt help the design so much, it's not even funny. I mean, I loved the original concept art, but this is pure love. Also, the battle helmet rocks.

After reading Sideways' bio and realizing that he is just a courier who hangs around big guys to feel safe, I feel like his untimely death at the blades of Sideswipe was unjust. HE WAS RUNNING FOR HIS LIFE!!! And this is a funny tidbit from Tfwiki: Disregard the bit of him in the game, it's not exactly canon.

Michael Bay made the 2007 Transformers movie and he also made Revenge of The Fallen. It seems some Transformers fans REALLY hate those movie. I honestly did like those movies and thought they were awesome. The live action movies aren't the only Transformers franchise that I saw. I have seen the G1 cartoon and Beast War. My question is why do people (mostly transformers fans) hate the Transformers movie by Michael Bay. I'm just curious, I'm not going to judge you or anything like that. I just want to know your opinion.

I am running similar threads on all the major TF fan-sites. I've noticed over the last little while, with the release of Arcee's concept art, and the release of her deluxe figure (great toy by the way), that many fans have warmed up to her design and have voiced their support for her to be included in the sequel see here and here and lots of other places I'm too lazy to find the link to...). Key members of Bay's filming crew hates her guts, her Jennifer's Body movie bombed. At this point having her in Transformers 3 seems pointless. She looks good, but her hotness is getting old fast. Personaly I don't think she's all that. I think Carly should be the new love interest for Sam in Transformers 3. And if she's anything like her G1 counterpart it should add something to the story. Megan Fox is just there to look hot, they can get any girl for that, and actaully make her smart also. It makes sense to introduce Carly also if they want to continue the series in the future. In the January 2007 issue of Popular Science (the one with 'MARINES IN SPACE' on the cover) is a timeline for this year which runs for a number of pages below various articles. First Off, Love the Transformers Trilogy. Just wanted to know what you guys want to see in Transformers 4. Please no negative comments about how the franchise sucks. There are other forums for that. This is mostly for fans of the movie Transformers fanchise. Here are some of my ideas: Have the Autobots go to Nabulos to stop a Decepticon or Predacon invasion. Have a strong military female role (Fairborn from G1). Give the humans some Transforming Armor vehicles and weapons. Kind of like the Ride Armors/Cyclones from Robotech. Next Major Battle should be in space. Have the Quintessons bring back all the major Decepticons, or have Galvatron and Cyclonus as new villians…

I understand that those Saleen Mustangs are police-modded and all that goodness -- but my question is, why would a police department bother using cars that are rather expensive as their patrol vehicles? I mean we all know 'stangs ain't cheap, so why bother when most departments use four-door sedans (which when you think about it is more practical)? This reminds me of G1 Red alert, in that a fire chief would in no way be able to afford a frickin' Italian hot rod. :07laugh

So I gathered all the existing renders of the movie robots and by calculating their heights (some based on given numbers, some based on the scaled human that came with the render), here's what I came up with:
