Why do people hate the Transformer movie by Michael Bay

Recommended Posts

Luckily I never bought many of the Movie figures and still don't! A select few is it. However, as for what this topic is about. I am one of the few who enjoy the movies not because they are particularly well put together, lets face it other than the first 45 minutes or so and some other parts here and there, the second film was craptacular on just about every level. The main reason I enjoy them both is because I walked out of the first film in the theatre thinking that robots that large are really real! And that is movie magic at it's best!

I agree, I wanna go to school to learn CG animation with the Maya program(if I spelled that right)I have seen the way the team and squad and little city of animators bring them to life, it is really amazing.

I have a cousin that got a job with Pixar. He does some little background stuff for them, but all the same he's living his dream.

Thats pretty sweet. Pixar makes incredible movies. To be involved in any way would be cool. Did he work on Wall-E? I think that has to be one of the best movies ever made.

Wall-E Breaker? Really?! I would have picked The Incredibles over Wall-E any day of the week! Either way, they are both good, just like The Incredibles more.

I fell a sleep during wall-e so I never got to see any of it

I like the first movie. But the second movie sucked Devastator's brass wrecking balls.

Too much humping, too much toilet humor, and way too much Bad acting. (Megatron Starscream, Soundwave, Ironhide, Jetfire and Prime were the only good ones in the movie period, Demolisher and The Doctor were crap, Fallen was way to throaty and unnecessary *as were Alice and Reedman*, Wheelie and the twins were forced, Devastator had barely any lines, as did Sideswipe, Ratchet *A downgrade from the previous film*, Rampage and the Arcee triplets and the humans... well, I'll get onto them soon).

Not only that but the CG was rather rushed in parts, Leo was just flat out bad that I wanted to go into the film and kill him. and let's not forget that Robot Heaven scene. The humans were quite possibly the worst aspect of the film aside from the military. Galloway, as Epps put him, was an Ass-hole. I was glad when he was sucked out of the plane, though not as glad when he survived.Makaela was only there for her ass. And yeah... Not a good film.

For not having any talking for the first half of the movie and still be able to create such a "big picture", everything from implied emotions to the general vibe of the landscapes was amazing. The plot doesnt trip on itself or gets too serious or is something thats been rehashed a million times, excellent CGI as always and some genuine laughs. Its one of the best all around movies Ive ever seen.

It gave me that sense of awe that I got from playing the first Bioshock and Gears of War game. The atmosphere, destroyed beauty, its so immersive and it blew my mind with what I imagined could be done in gaming. GoW is more from a tech standpoint and Bioshock was more of the immersive atmosphere.

1.Cheese.

These factors turn G1ers off. There is a need too cultivate new interest from the younger fans so the Bayverse suits this purpose exactly. ROTF is unspeakably bad so no mention of this. We love the brand for the toys and Bayformers seem to deter the collection process to lack of interest in uglybots with hind legs. :tfmad

Edit, this only turns the most hard core G1're off. I like the movies and most of the toys, reminds me of G1 for the most part. Plus with Cullen you can not deny them
