As for writting, continuity,fan nods and characterization......I put it up there right after Beast Wars and Animated.

 

Even if I didnt agree with the concept at first....at least it was rooted in the G1 myth.

 

The show found new ways to re-visit G1 stories and make them feel new ands relevent.

Believe me, if there was no such thing as RID, BM would be the worse. BM had COMPLETELY fake Transformations for the Maxamals, and the Animation was a bit fake at times, though the audio was decent and the show looked very detailed, which is a minor plus for them. The only reason why I don't like RID is because that show had the most %$#&@ ANNOYING Human factor!!! Gosh, there are times where I just want to rip my head open! The Transformers were awesome; every last one, in the show and as a toy, but man. I don't even want to go any further with the human factor. My point? I didn't like BM Better, I just think RID is worse.

Noob? Dude, I've been around since we did this fandom thing on paper sent in the mail.

 

Now, how do I like BM? Well, I have very well functioning brain processes and I'll assure you, it's ok for somebody to like something you don't.

 

Now, why do I enjoy BM? Well, it's a combination of things. One, I happen to like all that Oracle stuff. I'm a sucker for TF mythology, and even when its strange, they have me at hello. Part of the reason I'm so geared towards the new Prime universe, they already started with the 13. Then we look at the whole fact of something I've always wondered. What happened if the bad guys won. We have a show where the bad guys have won and the good guys are a very small threat who rise to overtake the system. I liked the whole Vector Sigma key business (even though by logic there shouldn't have still been a key, but hey..TF fiction and plot holes goes together like peanut butter and jelly). I'll admit, I wasn't fond of the 'I am transformed' stuff. I didn't like the toys not matching the show. I wish there was a bigger cast (a similar problem I had with BW). I didn't like how the characterizations changed. However, with a well written and pretty dark show for its time, I was hooked. Not to mention, it came in a time in the fandom where the non-mainstream fiction had me hooked too. 3H Wreckers and toy bios, man I still love the BM Dinobots and BW Mutants.

 

In the end, it may not be every bodies cup of tea, but I liked the drink. Couldn't wait to get the DVD set to be released and relished in it's purchase.
