Upgrades

I have been wanting to do this for a while. Ever since I got my Taejo Speed Racer Hotwheel. I am also considering making a Mach 5 out of TFA Blurr when he comes out... I started with a simple Digibash: I dissassembled a Jazz and tried to Dye the car parts with horrible results - so I went and bought some Testors Dark Red. Added a few coats and let sit over night. You may also be able to see here that I made some minor mods. I removed the side mirrors and the exhaust/Nunchaku holders, I also shaved down the front bumper. Motormaster will be based upon the Optimus Prime mold. It will combine with alternators so this piece doesn't fall under the alternator category. The bot mode will not be 100% acurate so it won't be a masterpiece either. The extruding section contains the Motormaster head and the Menasor head on the other side. It will be finished to look like diamond plate. Also note the sleeper air deflector which will help finish conceal parts later in the build. To transform, first, remove stacks. Hello everyone: Just a quick mod tip for anyone else who finds BT/ALT Tracks doors/windshield to be too bulky in robot mode. Basically, it allows a better compact configuration of the windshield/doors to allow the legs more clearance. Also, looks less clutterd around his body IMO. To do the mod, 1. Remove the 4 chest screws. 2. Carefully 'pop' the exhaust off with a small flat head screwdriver. This is basically held in there with the same pegs as Smoke's/Meister's gun. 3. Remove the smaller screw underneath exhaust. 4. Remove chairs/back window unit. 5. Now, you can basically separate the 2 halves (upper & lower or front & back; how…

Hey everybody! This is my next project and possible BotCon entry. A scratchbuilt HOS: Megatron based on Guido's concept drawing. Here's a few WIP pics since I started him. The first thing I did was make the torso. I scaled all the dimmensions off of Guido's drawing with the intention of using 3" PVC pipe for the large wheels. When all said and done, he's going to stand about 8.5" tall (about the same height as G2 Megs). The hip and shoulder joints are from Lego Knights.
