  1. Started by Wheeljack-S70,

I've been thinking about this for a long time now. how do you get that head folded back into the plane? after working in the studio for a while tonight I sat down and tried to think about this ongoing source of frustration. Then it dawned on me! now I realize the cone is a little tall but that can be remedied. anyway, thanks for lookin' :)

  2. Started by Lobo,

I started it this weekend. I'm going to reshell Swindle with an F150 pickup. Can't have enough truck Alternators! :D I'm baseing it on my work truck for the most part. I work for a construction company so the homage factor actually works out and it still stays true to the Alternator story. It will be yellow with a black hood, some tool boxes, etc. Haven't decided on the head yet. Most likely I'll repo the one off Meister. I chose the Hound mold because I wanted the robot mode to look similar to my Inferno but I din't want Grapple to be a Jeep. Here's the work on the front clip. I had to widen it to be able to fit right in the model kit. And here's…

  3. Started by BaCon,

  4. Here he is, finally complete. My first of many to come "Musclebots". The idea of these guys is to take the Autobots and Decepticons we all know and love, and completely change their alt modes as if they came to earth during the golden era of the vintage American Muscle car (1960's and 70's). First up we have Shockwave. When i first saw a picture of a purple 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda online, i immediately thought of Shockwave. Just the combination of the purple paint and that big aggressive grille which looks like G1 Shockwave's chest area, it was a perfect fit. So i got to work. I took a bog standard Alternators Shockwave/blast, bought a 1/24 scale plastic model kit of a P…

  5. Yeah, I know, it's been done before, but none of them seem to go in the same direction and, well, it's my first repaint so I'm gonna flaunt it. :tflaugh1 About a year ago when saw the Yamato 1/48 VF-1S for the first time (I don't frequent Macross boards) I fell in love with it, if only for it's repaint potential as Jetfire, as shown by aurascope and Grand Admiral over at the macrossworld boards. I'd always loved the original Jetfire more than any other TF I had growing up, and having a partner in crime for MP01 sounded tasty. I was scared as all get out of using paint, though, especially on a $200 toy (:tfpuke), so after I got it, it just sat on the shelf as a Macr…

  6. Started by Optics,

So after seeing THIS GUY's videos of his Custom Power Up Optimus, I decided to attempt my own. I love the design of Power Up Optimus, but as everyone knows, the toy version is no where close in resembling it. It took me 2 months to find Jetfire and now I must say goodbye... :ghey ... in attempt at making greatness. No sacrifice, no victory, right? I'm getting some help from him. I know not everything will be exact since he used 2 Jetifres and I'm only gonna be using one. THE FEET/LEGS Once I get everything painted, I'm sure it'll look better.

  7. Started by Primus-feather,

  8. Started by Dark_Lord_Prime,

My local comic shop also sells video games and consoles, among other things like DVDs and books. One day, I was there to get my weekly comics, and noticed they had two first-generation GameBoys for $3 each, and I was suddenly struck with a Real Gears inspiration, so I bought 'em both. :D My first step was to measure one of the GB's, then create a cardboard mock-up, so I can work out the transformation and positioning of parts. Next, I had to figure out what to use for various parts, such as legs and arms, etc. Bionicles to the rescue! After some experimentation, I've decided my best bet for his legs are "beast-type" (hey, it worked for Dropkick!), as sh…
