d00d, that's awesome. here's my version of that moment, with Robovision Prime (it helped slightly w/some of the scale issues) nowhere near as kickass as yours though :redface Do you need the RoboVision glasses to see the giant telephone in the movie clip? I can't see it... Srsly though, awesome shot-- I LOVE the lighting.

Are you familiar with the 1/48 Yamatos? There's no such thing as a square face 1/48 VF-1x... and I wouldn't see why they would make one anyway-- they're updates to the original design. That would be like saying "I noticed you're MP01 Convoy doesn't have the removable hands like the original G1 toy has, so it's inaccurate." The 1/48's are about as Masterpiece Valkyrie as you're going to get, so I think pointing out that it has a rounded face is kind of a ridiculous point. And calling out the Hi-Metal 1/55 as a DYRL toy is just wrong-- that's the original toy that started it all, along with the TV show. DYRL came out after the series. I think you missed the point of me just repainting a 1/48.

Care to elaborate? If you're talking about the hands, they're recasts that I bought from someone on the macrossworld boards, but the head is a S-series, which is the correct head for both the StrikeValkyrie and Jetfire. There's no other variation, outside of coloring, in the 1/48's so I have no idea what you're talking about. And I happen to have the original Bandai HiMetal StrikeValkyrie right here, and that's the one they repainted.... vs. I see no difference. What are you seeing? EDIT: I see the nose cone is different, but that's it. And yes, I know Jetfire didn't come with the lazer booster, but this also has both regular booster ends. Are you saying this one is any different than the Jetfire mold? I still don't see how this pertains to the 1/48 though.

Yeah. If I was able to own a smal island off the Costa Rica coast, I would consider myself rich enough to buy every model. Until that time, it's me and my 1S. I sure do think they're ripping people off with those prices though. You know damn well it doesn't cost that much to make them, and the R&D can't possibly add on an extra $100, especially since they print so damn many of them.

god I love how those things have the light up eyes... wish I could do that with mine. I'm pretty sure you can get a used 1/48 pretty cheap these days. I've gotta say, I was originally super put-off by the price, but it's one hell of a toy! Perfect-variable, too (we in the TFandom take that for granted...)

You take what you can get, man... :tflaugh Nice, i see you put Autobot stickers on your Valk as well. Well.... yeah, and totally repainted him as well.... Throw yours up-- I'd like to see what others did to thier own. Thanks. The size of screamer standing next to them just made me think of it.... sure with Takomy made him bigger, buuuut...... you take what you can get! ;) I didn't use any program to do anything outside of resizing and color correcting the pictures in photoshop. The pics with Jetfire is actually how big he is, and the sig picture I just put him on his knees. Thanks for the response!

I love these pics. Funny thing about the last pic though, I was just explaining to my son last week that if Transformers really lived on Primus, they'd be so small, you couldn't see in....Unless they're Fort Max or somebody like that. That's what I was thinking-- I think Optimus needs to be a hell of a lot smaller, but the idea is cool. :thumb You'd have to go *way* macro on your camera to get a small part of Primus for Prime to be on. I mean, Cybertron is smaller than earth, but it's still freakin gigantic! Check out the cities on his legs and then think that those are the size of the Sears tower... Prime is probably only 2-3 stories tall. /not knocking the pic //I like it ///just saying...
