Power Up Optimus Prime

Recommended Posts

So after seeing THIS GUY's videos of his Custom Power Up Optimus, I decided to attempt my own. I love the design of Power Up Optimus, but as everyone knows, the toy version is no where close in resembling it. It took me 2 months to find Jetfire and now I must say goodbye... :ghey ... in attempt at making greatness. No sacrifice, no victory, right?

I'm getting some help from him. I know not everything will be exact since he used 2 Jetifres and I'm only gonna be using one.

THE FEET/LEGS

Once I get everything painted, I'm sure it'll look better.

Gotta say I'm liking this so far, If the final result looks good enough I'll probably take my spare ROTF prime and Jetfire and make one just like it, keep up the good work :tflaugh

P.S. where did you find some of those parts? I'm still trying to figure out where they come from on Jetfire :wtf

Wow, you are hard core! That looks great already, can't wait to see the results. Good luck and more WIP pics please!

I just got back from Walmart and saw that they restocked on Prime, gonna have to buy him again just for Primes sake.

Which parts were you looking at?

Mainly the parts used to cover ROTF Primes legs, it looks like you cut some pieces and glued them at angles so they'd wrap around Prime's legs but I'm not to sure.

The black pieces was originally part of the wing (w/Con logo) and the gray pieces made up part of the feet (just a "toe"). The thigh was half of Jetfire's chest.

Thanks, I'm currently trying to make the feet but those metal rods that hold the pieces together are giving me a bit of trouble :redface

Wow, you're attempting it too :tflaugh

Yeah, getting those pins are were a pain at first. I had to start with a hammer and nail. Eventually started using one of those pins instead. Then I get a tool from my bro that. The trick is just figuring out which side to pull/push the pin. Sometimes it's hard to tell. If you or anyone else is wondering, I'm using Gorilla Super Glue. Grabbed one from Home Depot for $5.
