  4. Kicking into 2022 with an odd review. The Transformers Centurion Pack was never released here but, luckily, I have a resin cast version of most of the set, as well as, a few other items. They all had to be painted but the results were pretty interesting. There are a couple other items done that way too, including Primal's mace and Cheetor's gut gun. Additionally, we have some 3D printed items to look at too, including the Dinomus set and a new Bumper head. https://youtu.be/JUWqc1p-pMc
  5. Battlemasters, move aside, this 3D printed custom Pinpointer not only blows it away but has a brilliant transformation for something so small to boot!
  6. Finally diving into Transforemrs Studio Series '86 with Blurr first and we will see how he compares to my custom Titans Return version AND a couple slight touches i added to this guy as well.
  7. Last night on GotBot Goes Live, we had a party with the whole gang! There were lots of ideas and conversation, but we focused on my plan for an upcoming Deathcobra custom to supliment my Liokaiser custom. We unboxed a quirky custom micromaster, talked MPM Starscream, Super Megatron's size and Cyberverse action masters? Finally, we also paid our respects to a couple people, not the least of which is Japanese voice actor Keiji Fujiwara. It was a jam-packed night!
  8. Here’s my customized Siege Autobot Inpactor. Timelapse of me working on this figure. My review of this custom.

  13. Hello Everyone! I've been painting an AOE Voyager Optimus Prime to look more realistic. I won't say movie accurate as he looked like hell in the movie and mine is clean. But my vision was a cross between G1 and what he might have looked like between DOTM and AOE (before he got shot up). Here are some close-ups: And a 360 comparison (before above, after below): Except this one - painted on top: Please let me know what you think, I'd love to hear your feedback. I intend to just do a clear coat to seal everything when the paint has had a couple of days to dry. Apologies for the blurry photos, I think I will take some new pose shots in the daytime this weekend. I am also thinking of putting him on eBay, so if you or anyone you know might be interested, let me know!
  14. Here he is, finally complete. My first of many to come "Musclebots". The idea of these guys is to take the Autobots and Decepticons we all know and love, and completely change their alt modes as if they came to earth during the golden era of the vintage American Muscle car (1960's and 70's). First up we have Shockwave. When i first saw a picture of a purple 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda online, i immediately thought of Shockwave. Just the combination of the purple paint and that big aggressive grille which looks like G1 Shockwave's chest area, it was a perfect fit. So i got to work. I took a bog standard Alternators Shockwave/blast, bought a 1/24 scale plastic model kit of a Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda, and got to work cutting stuff up. Once the major building and fabrication work was done i moved on to paint. The real car has a very specific shade of purple which is called "plum crazy" purple. I could not find this shade ANYWHERE, and when i did it was waaay too much $$$ to buy and to ship, so i went to my old man and asked him if he could mix me up a custom shade. He mixed up a close to the original base coat, which i then lacquered and added some purple pearl powder to and it came out perfect! This is about as close as you can get to the real factory color and it looks awesome on the toy as you can see. The paint has been wet sanded and then buffed just like a real full-size custom paint job! Once the paint was done i airbrushed the side graphics and decided to give it a nice little custom touch, replacing the "Hemi" lettering with a painted on Decepticon logo. I then chrome-painted the bumpers, and added bare metal foil to the trim. I decided to give the hood an era-correct matte black paint job, and added some scratch built hood pins. Most of the interior was sacrificed for the build, but the interiors to Alts were pretty superfluous anyway so its no big deal. The wheels cannot rotate either, another sacrifice to keep the wheels from having pins drilled through them and ruining the look. The front wheels detach via strong rare earth magnets, as i had to make them that way because with the added width of the 1971 'Cuda body, the original wheels no longer fit next to the fenders behind the shoulders in the robot mode like they did on the original, much narrower Mazda RX-7 body. But as you can see, you cannot see any of these sacrifices when the piece is on display. Thanks for looking and dont forget to check eBay for Shockwave's auction soon! If you wish to contact me, please feel free to do so at dubcustomz@blueyonder.co.uk
