  1. Beast Wars had a couple of notable combiners but perhaps Magnaboss is both the fan favorite and most infamous of them because he is both awesome and scary. Combined, the heft is undeniable. Separately, Prowl, Ironhide and Silverbolt all have their own charm and their challenges, not the least of which is the threat of the ever dreaded GPS!
  2. This week on GotBot goes Live we talk all the reveals from the slides for TFCon Orlando! We also address several new reveals and new stock images from Studio Series, Netflix WFC and more. We update Universal Collision and add a cast member. Finally, we talk about good and bad business during the pandemic. Stay smart, stay safe. https://youtu.be/pzMuu1huw64
  3. Often, a KO is the same or oversize. Rarely is something made smaller. However, Transart did just that with their First Generation Commander, their take on the Beast Wars Maximal leader Optimus Primal. Indeed, for some collectors, his size MIGHT actually work better.
  4. Even by today's standards, many beast Wars era offerings could still be call ed very functional and, in some cases, quite excellent. Of course, Beast Wars also had some really odd ideas, such as fuzors. How well does the Maximal hammerhead shark hawk named Air Hammer measure up? Surprisingly better than i expected!
  5. It is probably no secret...he's awful. There was a lot of potential but I couldn't find anything nice to say about this guy. Shocked? Well, take a look and find out why.
  6. This time I mostly focus on the KBB Combat Commander; their version of the Generations Toy GT-05, inspired by Optimus Prime. Additionally, we compare him to not 1 but 2 custom Earthrise Optimus offerings - one with and the other without the silver detailing on the legs and forearms. Which custom is better? How good is the KBB lad? Let's find out!
  7. Tonight, Friday, March 20, is the premiere of Transformers: Universal Collision , Season 2, Episode 7, Monsters and Beasts. Amid the current world crisis, take a half hour at 7 PM EST tonight and join the live chat and have a little get away from the everyday. In this epsiode, Megatron meets the Fallen and learns more about his destiny. Unicron gets a status update from Death's Head and Tankor. Nemesis Prime and Lockdown recruit a new general to Unicron's army. Overlord and Bludgeon, with their combined forces, arrive at the coordinates in space where Cybertron should be. What do they find? A new layer to the collision unveils itself and a new society rises.JOIN US!
  8. This week on the show, we talked about reveals ranging from Flames Toys Megatron, to MPM Starscream and we ponder the odd screaming Earthrise Starscream face. We preview tomorrow's Universal Collision episode (premiere at 7 PM EAST) - Monsters and Beasts. Finally we talk about how the world is NOT business as usual and what that means for us as collectors. https://youtu.be/HFTikmgrtA8
  9. I liked the mold as Skullgrin, but is the brash and brutal Straxus (or Darkmount) as good, better or worse?
  10. KBB Hornets Agent is a KO of the small but well renowned Newage offering. Having him in hand, we can see how well he scaled with legends and Earthrise Cliffjumper. Could KBB have provided the perfect mainline Bee?
  11. The Decepticons send in the micromaster big guns in Earthrise with the Military Patrol, well, half of them at least : Enter Bombshock and Growl! How well does this wave 1 duo measure up?
  12. Transformers Earthrise adds to the micromaster battles that started in Siege with the Autobot Hot Rod patrol. Again, we just get 2 out of 4 members, Trip-up and Daddy-O (or Big Daddy) and while they look terrific, how well do they funtion?
  13. On the surface, this is my look at the Hot Soldiers 15/16 FLy Over Mountain and Taxi, better known as CLiffjumper and Hubcap, respectively. However, on a deeper level, this leads to a comparison and discussion of Generations, Earthrise and, now, this 3P Cliffjumper (and by asociation Hubcap). Seems there is a Cliffjumper for any type of collector. It all boils down to taste, preference and, of course, cost/value analysis. One this is for sure, it definitely is NOT one size fits all!
  14. Tonight on GotBot Goes Live we had a fun hour! We talked about several product reveals and images from Earthrise Skylynx, Smokescreen and Cliffjumper, to Banana Force Nemesis Prime. We touched on the Allicons. We compared 2 custom Earthrise Optimus Primes, one with the silver and the other without. Finally, in light on all the world health developments, especially the plethora of cancellations, we ask if for us collectors, will it be business as usual?
  15. Siege Red Wing might just be another Siege Seeker repaint, but he has proven to be quite the elusive one. Is there hope for fans outside of the US? Maybe at least in Canada if TRU has anything to say about it. Check it out -
