Nice start so far Lobo!  I'm really impressed with the legs/truckbed came out!  Good job!  That should be the standard that other pickup kitbashes follow.

 

Looking forward to seeing it finished!  And good Character choice, Grapple doesn't get enough love.

When I saw Lobos Inferno (and I believe he did Kup too didnt he?) on Transtopia, I fell out of my chair. My wife thought I was strange because I kept mumbling "That is sooo fuggin cool..." over and over again for about 10 minutes.

 

Hasbro should contact you guys about using your ideas for general production, because a lot of the kitbashes Ive seen far, far surpass their ideas. you guys are 100% badass! Thanks for sharing!

Actually, Jaf wrote a follow along article for his MP Jazz over at Transtopia.  Great article with photo's.  Also the thread for my Alt Kup WIP is still up.  It's got some good pics and descriptions.

As for the Alt mode, this is what I'm shooting for.

 

That's just gonna flat out rock.  I hope you put some kind of construction company info on the doors or something.  That would look cool too.  Iacon Construction or something would be funny and cool or if you knew a friend or someone who you could put their company info on it. :tfevil :P

Made some progress today on the front end.  :D

 

Before I attatched the Alt to the model kit, I realized the shoulder joint would conflict with the model kit in a way that would have made in impossible for the arms to fold out.  To tackle this, I did some planning and decided the part of the front fenders would have to open up in order for the arms to rotate out.  So what I did was cut out the corners where the hood pin is at and glue in a piece of 1/16" styrene tube.  This way I could glue the fender to it and have it slide out for transformation.

 

 

After that I glued the Alt to the model kit.  I then fount where the arm piece ould have to come through the model kit and made cuts.  When I glued the model to tha Alt I was care not to get any extra glue in the areas I planned on cutting.  After the cuts where made I tested to make sure it would slide.  Pics below.

 

 

 

 

The other problem was that even with that there ould still need to be a notch cut out for the arm so the fender would slide back to normal.  I notched out the fender piece and built a hing out of styrene for the notched piece.  Below are pic of the arm transformation.

 

 

Here's a shot of the fender in Alt mode.  All loose ends will be trimmed up prior to paint.
