  4. :tflaugh I agree, most hobby stores are horrible. If your local hobby store doesn't carry what your looking for or you don't have a store close to you, you do have some online options. Take a look at this. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0093p?&C=REA&P=7 Pages and pages of styrene. They have just about anything your looking for. Especially sizes most stores don't carry. I've delt with them several times in the past and their a great company. They also have a huge selection of plastic model kits. Hope this helps
  5. Well, I put DLP's heated pin technigue to the test this weekend and it works great! I wanted to remove the wheels from Alt Smokescreen but there wasn't anywhere to push the pins out. Especially on the front tires monted on the turnbuckels. I wasn't too worried about messing up the wheels because I had no intention of using them again. I started by using putting the hot iron on the head of the wheel pin and left it there for about 10-15 seconds. Then I pulled on the wheel itself and the wheel popped right off. The plastic had heated up enough to make it pliable enough that it went right over the head of the pin. But to my suprise the plastic of the wheel went right back to normal and it look like the wheel is useable again. I then put the iron back on the pin for another 10-15 seconds and used pliers to pull the pin out. Slid right out, no problems at all. And it work the same for the remaining 3 wheels. Though, different types of plastic might yield different results. It's a great technigue that I plan on using again. Thanks DLP!
