Awesome! I dont think the cone is too big for the head, it looks just right. I look forward to seeing this finished!

Thanks for the enthusiasm guys. I started working on the wings tonight. they'll split in two parts similar to the way Classics Ramjet's wings do. I've added pictures of the head in alt mode too. it fits! The only part of the wings that's attached at the moment are the smaller fins. the larger parts are just set there to give you an idea of what he's lookin like.

So who knows anything about making panel lines??? :emo

cheers

Hey man looking great so far!! As for the panel lines, I did this prime trailer aaaaages ago and I used laser cut vinyl. If you know your way around a computer or know someone who does, you design the shapes and get em cut out with a plotter/laser cutter. Sounds expensive/extensive but totally isn't. Total for a set of MP wings shouldn't run you more than $10 for the vinyl/cutting so long as you can find someone to do the computer side of things for you :) most signage places have the machines.

Hope that helps dude, and good luck.

DUUUUUUUUUUUDE THATS LOOKING AWESOME! OMg this is gonna own so hard! Amazing!

That was one thing I could not figure out. Kept thinking I should make the cone from the front of the jet come off, since it was hinged anyway, and figure a way to just attach it to the real head for transform.

not only is this way pretty good for use of parts easy to find, but the tip is rubber and should give a little to make transform easier.

Only thing is, my early designs are for Thrust, not Dirge or Rammy.

Speaking of that, take note that the guns for this should probably not be simple repainted SS guns, but rather the long and thin tube like things. Sniper or rail guns if you will.

At least with this version, you can chop off the back wings with ease since R and D don't have them. (would highly recommend you take them out carefully and maybe even re-sell them, who knows if that might be of use to someone with a broken tail)

Thrust...that's a different story.

Thanks for the tip with the cone head and making it work.

Been looking forward to seeing this, looks very promising cant wait to see the finished project.

This is VERY useful :thumb

This is just throwing it out there, but are you gonna curve the wings even slightly (via vaccuform or something)?

It would really bother me if the wings were perfectly flat. XD :tfevil

the smaller fins.

FWIW, they're called Canards and love the fact that you're putting them higher than the wings (how they are in real life) by the looks of it. Dirge always looked too flat because of the whole "wings and canards in one piece" thing
