Me again :) I like Jetfire - but I dont want a yellowed one and can't justify the money for a mint one... What alternatives do I have? I've checked the bay for valks and its just left me confused! - many dont mention scales and some are hard to tell if they change... Basically i'd like a jetfire style one with the armour and about the same scale. I'm not bothered about the colours or head sculpt really (and it will be taken out of any box its in!) Ta Dan

I've been selling my colection for some time now for reasons most people know, but I couldnt get rid completely, I saw a mint complete prowl on ebay and couldnt resist, now I'm collecting mint loose complete G1 series 1 and 2 then stopping, anyone else limiting themselves in this way or stripping down their collection??? :thumb

Mine has got to be Pretender Jazz, the inner robot is seriously cheap and he can even see over his bonnet! Also when I was kid the worst thing that could happen to you was buying a TF )flywheels) for example and then realising his arms only moved out to the side.......................WTF..............!!! Yes, repaints are the source of much consternation all across the toy world...but every now and then you come across a repaint so good that you wish you'd never even seen the original. This is the thread for those repaints. My favorite is probably Rapticon, the navy blue version of TM2 Dinobot. (Call me biased.) But Cryotek is definitely up there as well, and Cybertron Repugnus is a big winner too.

I noticed that the stamp on my Classics Prime figure said Takara on his right leg. Why? It's not a Takara thing. Completely done by Hasbro. Made in China I can understand (as almost all toys that you can find on the shelve are "Made in China". So why the Takara stamp. Any answers would be helpful.

I was just flipping through some of the old Sears catalogues and couldn't find any old enough to get sources for the original prices on some of these toys. I have seen some price tags on a few boxes and card backings, but has anyone seen any good resources to look up original prices, for ol'-timey sakes? :tflaugh I'd love to see some old catalogue page scans!

Has anyone seen the new 20th op yet? I was at target the other day and I saw one, so I decided to take a close look. All of the chrome from the previous version is gone except for the stacks. Also, the red is this crappy bright orangey-red that made my eyes want to puke and cry. I felt bad for 'ol op after I saw this. Did hasbro just slop this together thinking no one would buy it? I mean, I already have one from the first wave. But if I was going to buy this one I would have surely changed my mine after seeing this and gone to the net for the other version. And I know this has been dragged through the mud already, but a blue blaster wtf? :tfpuke
