...do we get the U.S. version of him equivalent to the 20th Prime?

I'm also still wanting a 20th anniversary Ultra Magnus over here.

GET WITH IT!

I doubt MP Screamer will ever pass through the US Health and Safety inspection. All those protruding parts will need to be stubbed down (horizontal/vertical tips), the figure will have to be beefed up to even come close to passing the drop test, etc. Then again, you never know.....

It could "pass" "safety inspection" as is. They'd just have to have a warning on the box saying not intended for small children =P

They might not be willing to sell a toy that says not for kids on it.

You know, at Iacon some of the former Hasbro employees (I think it might have been Kyde) mentioned during a panel that the drop test had more to do with the packaging and whether or not the packaging/item would survive the trials of shipping.

I forgot to ask Aaron Archer this at Botcon though...

I rather doubt that we'll get those over here. stick to importing for now.

Why do folks keep asking this. Magnus.....Never. Screamer Possibly. The end.

No One Knows!! We dont work for Hasbro and even they dont know.

odd, considering the US packaging for the first run of MP01 vs. the Magnus box- I thought the MP02 was much more secure.

why bother waiting to see? i didnt.

Uhm, I wasn't talking about MP-01.

All the discussions of "Drop Tests" were related to bringing Brave Max over. And let me tell you, my Brave Max barely made the flight from Durham NC to St. Louis, MO in my luggage. The weight of the figure in the box nearly tore the box apart from the inside. I can't imagine trying to ship it in mass quantities.

Anyway, people were trying to say MP-03 wouldn't survive the drop test (which people erroneously believe to involve dropping the toy to the ground). I was just trying to point out what the drop test was and why MP-03 wouldn't have a problem with the drop test. :thumb

oh, don't get me wrong - i wasn't try to dispute what you were saying; i was only thinking about how i ordered the us MP prime from a retailer vs. when i had magnus shipped over seas - prime looked like he had been breakdancing throughout the entire transit, whereas magnus seemed well in place. seemed to me like the packaging defined my experience. that was really my only comparison point.
