  1. At least you have dry heat out in Texas. Over here next door in Louisiana it's a horrible humid heat.

    1. Bad Wolf

      Bad Wolf

i'm in San Antonio TX, we get both the heat and humidity

  2. Literal burning justice? Because I used to delight in gas or diesel soaked ant bed fires!

  3. Ach, Hadlen. I feel your pain. I am somewhat allergic to ant stings and there have been a few nasty incidents. Hope you heal quickly!

  4. turned 30 today. *plays with a toy*

  5. WFC multiplayer is too hard... =P

  6. These would be ok if they didn't have the super-deformed huge heads. I hate that. Worst idea Japan ever had. That being said, I still may pick one of these up.
  7. Happy b-day, killa.

  8. Your dye isn't going to come out nearly as dark as the undiluted dye looks anyway, so I wouldn't worry about the blue. The red may come out pink. In my experience there's no real way to get it darker, the plastic's gonna absorb as much as it can and that's that. Also, know that the dye isn't going to take uniformly. If you do it right it'll be good coverage and still look nice, but you need to know that it'll never be uniform. You'll have lighter and darker areas all blended together... kinda like anything real that's been slightly weathered. My advice? Don't have your water too hot. bring it to a boil and then turn it down a bit until it's just bubbling around the edges. Don't leave your parts in longer expecting them to take more dye. They won't and you'll warp your parts. That is why my C. Wing Saber doesn't transform correctly anymore. A few seconds... let's say 10... ought to be enough, then you need to dip the part in ice water immediately and hope you don't warp anything. I guess just practice with a junker bot and see how it works out for you. Good luck!! *edit* P.S. I would avoid acetone in the water at ALL COSTS. It's not REALLY going to help much and it can ruin the whole show.
  9. That is one sexy truck, is it not? All I've ever seen are the 1:64 versions... but I found this online: 1:18 scale Can't really tell much about the quality of the toy from the pictures, but it might be something to work with. I know 1:18 is a far cry from 1:24, but it might make a good base for a Prime anyway. And it's already red. Hope it helps. I guess I'll PM this post to you too in case you miss checking here for a while. *EDIT* According to THIS auction, the toy in question is about 11.5 inches long, putting it at about 1:22 scale. You might think about snatching it up.
  10. I just found Classics Jetfire at the second-closest Wal-Mart to me. I knew I liked the fig from the pics I'd seen but now that I've opened him, I think he's my favorite Transformer that I own. Sure, he's not the most bitchin looking in bot mode, alt mode, or most articulated bot in my collection. Other bots hold those honors. But he IS overall very nice and FUN TO PLAY WITH. Just had to share my enthusiasm =)
  11. Just got the Classics Prime/Megs 2 pack. They both suck. I needed the Prime for parts though.
  12. Oooh.... And you'll be sending him to me straight away, no? :thumb
  13. My Alternators Nemesis Prime (with the sdcc 'con t-shirt) came in today. My MP-03 might also have come (went to my old house, I need to check... but Spencer said to expect it today or early next week, woot!) I also won an auction for a Bandai 1:55 VF-1S super valk and bought the Jetfire reprolabels yesterday. Those plus a little paint = a nice quality NEW Jetfire for me, which I'll be able to display and not worry about yellowing. I also got Classics Ops, Megs, SS, and Roddy the other day, and Alt. Mirage a couple of weeks ago. Wow, October's been a big TF month for me.
