Yes, repaints are the source of much consternation all across the toy world...but every now and then you come across a repaint so good that you wish you'd never even seen the original. This is the thread for those repaints.

 

My favorite is probably Rapticon, the navy blue version of TM2 Dinobot. (Call me biased.) But Cryotek is definitely up there as well, and Cybertron Repugnus is a big winner too.

I take it we're only going to talk about repaints, not remolds? 'cause let's see who my repaints are....

 

I'll skip G1 and all, because calling any of them repaints and all is apparently high treason.

 

Universe: Fireflight, Reptilion, Blastcharge, the Walmart dinobots (sans Grimlock and Swoop), Devastator (both of them), Razorclaw, Depthcharge, Tankor and Obisidian.

 

Armada: Well, I own C-Runamuck, Blurr, Longrack, and KBs Demolisher and Cyclonus...

 

Energon: Galvatron. As well, Energon Starscream, Doomlock, and Roadblock.(can't even follow my own rules) I also bought Quickstrike, but despite being superior to Bulkhead in everyway, at this moment I don't own him...

 

 

Cybertron: Ransack GTS, and king supreme awesome Radscreen.

 

Beyond that, I have BW Dinobot, and will get the rest of the BW reissues (I'm glad I skipped them...the originals, both Hasbro AND Takara looked terribly DRAB!)
