This is Titanium Soundwave as he appears in promo shots:

This is Soundwave circa 1984:

THIS is how I believe Titanium Soundwave looks when transformed correctly:

Furthermore, I think he's intentionally mistransformed in the box to make the figure look bigger (in order to help carry the $15 pricepoint).

Holy crap! It's worth buying now! I was hoping the extra crotch disappeared, but I had seen the crappy mistransformed pic so many times I got discouraged.

where's that from?

that would be nice. i initially thought the same as you. however, there doesn't seem to be enough room in for the crotch to slide up like that. I'm afraid that the figure they showed was transformed correctly. I hope that I am wrong and you are right.

Wow. That's a huge improvement. So the crotch just slides up into his stomach?

super crotch is a lost cause i think.

where's that from?

Photoshop'd

Yup, looking at it closer you can tell it's chopped and shopped.

WRONG'D! The crotch cannot move up. This was confirmed a while ago. Someone took pictures of the figures at Botcon or wherever from underneath the clear glass shelf and there is absolutely no way that his waist slides up. Soundwave has an enormous crotch. That's just how it is. Sorry :tdown

it looks hot without the crotch but if we really want it to look like that then well have to bust out a hacksaw and mangle our poor little soundwave
