Please post all TF Live Action Movie Discussion, here.

Just got back from seeing RotF (midnight screening, first in the city) and I was thoroughly impressed. Besides some human and college bits (which weren't bad, just filler as far as I was concerned) it's a totally solid movie with nothing major to complain about. Cool bits. spoilerspoilerspoilerspoilerspoiler The way Dev. works is pretty cool, in that, there's just a bunch of constructicons who form him, rather than a set of them. So while Dev. is climbing a pyramid, you also see what is effectively Long Haul, Mixmaster and Rampage (who is red and whose jackhammer mode is actually his standard robot one) fighting some Autobots. S…

Mass shifting. Some of us love it, some of us hate it. So, there's been some debate as to whether or not mass shifting should be in the sequel. I've been doing a lot of thinking on this, and I've come to the conclusion that mass shifting has to pass one test for me to personally be okay with it: The Bond Gadget Test. The Bond Gadget Test says, essentially, that you do not introduce a new technology into a story without that technology being vital to the same story. If Q spends five or ten minutes explaining to Bond how his new Solar Powered Jet Watch with Grappling Hook works, and Bond does not find himself in a situation where the Solar Powered Jet Watch with Grappli…

Hi guys. Just saw ROTF last night. Loved it btw..despite all of its flaws... Anyway...can somebody PLEASE explain to me how the Constructicons fought as individuals and as Devastator simultaneously????

on wikipedia.com i heard that they are planning to have soundwave dinobots and constucticons in the sequel. what do you think soundwave will transform into?

After reading Sideways' bio and realizing that he is just a courier who hangs around big guys to feel safe, I feel like his untimely death at the blades of Sideswipe was unjust. HE WAS RUNNING FOR HIS LIFE!!! And this is a funny tidbit from Tfwiki: Disregard the bit of him in the game, it's not exactly canon.

Basically the point of this thread is to let people talk about the movie without needing to spoiler tag everything, and without people Starscreaming somebody hasn't used spoiler tags. I saw it today, and I can't honestly review a movie that has giant robots that turn into other things fighting other giant robots that turn into other things and also has a hot chick, but my gf liked it so that says a lot. The scene with Sam searching his room and the Autobots hiding from his parents was my favourite. :07laugh

Wasn't the whole thing about G1 "Robots in Disguise," where robots took the form of actual vehicles and hid from human eyes? Let me repeat that: Where robots took the form of actual vehicles and hid from human eyes? So technically, the movie is taking the G1 idea and updating it. Check out the toys! Actual vehicles. Robots successfully added into them. Not-crap! I find it kind of funny how you haters wanted G1 so badly you forgot that, in reality, this story is stronger than anything we've seen since G1. You can't really compare anything to Beast Wars, since it was beautifully pulled off in concept, but other Vehicle-oriented TF stuff? Cybertron, A…

I'd like to see them go with Option #5 -- BEAST WAAAARS! *ggggrrrroooowwwwlll!* :D
