General

All Transformers, all the time -- from Generation 1 to "Animated", Michael Bay's Transformers franchise, and beyond.

  1. Here are some of the more commonly mispelt Transformer names that I've been noticing. Legend: + CORRECTLY SPELT TF NAME : common mispelling ----------------------------------------- + DEVASTATOR : Devestator + LASERBEAK : Lazerbeak (not to be confused with LAZORBEAK ;)) + PREDACON : Predicon + SCORPONOK : Scorpinok, Scorponox, Skorponok, Skorponox + SENTINEL PRIME : Sentinal Prime + TRIPREDACUS : Tripredicus That's all I can think of for now. Feel free to add any more mispellings of TF names that you've seen. :) Note the following exemptions: * Occasional typos and errors. They need to be frequent mispellings that you've seen. * Intentional mispel…

  2. I want to preface this by saying this topic is in no way a dig at this site, the people who run it, or the members who frequent it. It seems to me that traffic on this site has slowed dramatically. BotCon coverage was great and the movie/game news is still interesting. Are we suffering from Transformer Fatigue? Is all the rapid fire news here lately just too much, too fast? I know I felt a little burnt out this last week. I was grateful to have E3 news as a sort of mental palate cleanser. This site has an insightful, thriving forum community that fosters great discussion but it appears lately nobody stays on long or has much to say. Conversely, my asessment of the sit…

Let me preface this by saying I'm not trying to make trouble, just asking a question. And, I probably should have asked about this a long time ago, but...it's finally gotten to the point of bugging me, so what the hey. Was there anything so wrong with the 'old way' of viewing comments below any given news post, with a quick link to the thread to make your own comment? Now we have two distinct threads for every post? This an ENI thing? Just thought I'd throw it out there...surely others have as well. :redface

  4. Ravage was a huge hit at BotCon. Special thanks to EnclineDesigns and Axeman for helping me create this character. He has his own channel now @ http://youtube.com/ravagetheinsultcomic

Ok I need some advice about this situation. On another site I purchased a Transformers Light display. I want to say it was May 30th. Well I placed the order and after 2 weeks I contacted the seller about it since I hadn't gotten it. He did not reply. A week Later I contacted the site. They then emailed me and stated that the guy drop ships from china and that it takes 3 weeks. Email: Hi David, I am really sorry to hear about this experience you have had. It is quite possible he sent for this product as soon as you placed the order however the place he gets items from in China may not have had it in stock and could have caused delay in shipment. Again, I think the …

With what will most probably be the last of the Bay movies looming on the horizon I guess it's not too early to start to reflect a bit on this "Bayformer" era. Also, where is the future of the movie franchise and just the TF franchise in general going from here on out? I'm guessing we'll get some vague idea from the panel discussions at Botcon, but it will more than likely just be more to speculate over. I'll also guess there's going to be a lot of mixed feelings about the Bay era. Can't deny this though, it sure hasn't been boring! We've seen our Transformers finally shared with large audiences and I think there is more positive than negative that we've se…

  7. I did a search of the forums to see if this was already being discussed, but searching for "TFSource credit card" didn't bring up any threads. It turns out that TFSource has had their credit card records compromised again. Of course there's been no notification to their customer base, and I've been warned to stop talking about it on TFW's forums. You can view the thread here: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-general-discussion/286348-warning-tfsource-account-billing-info-compromised-may-2011-a-114.html#post6089982 If you've done any business with TFSource over the past 6 months (I believe that was the oldest report we got in the thread), or hone…

  8. Like the title says, I'm looking for a copy of the original cartoon theme song without the vocal tracks... I have a... "project" I need it for. Any help would be appreciated... I understand it was released on a japanese box set in that format in like 2004, but I can't find it for download anywhere, nor do I want to buy a 5 disc box set for 30 seconds of theme music, LOL... Thanks!

Is there a site that has checklists for Transformers non toy items? Like cards and stickers and such?

So the PCC line has its fans and its critics. Personally, I love how they handled the minicons (weapons/accessories for the vehicle modes of the larger partners, and weapons/armor for their robot modes, as opposed to teeny tiny vehicle replicas tacked onto larger vehicles/robots) and most of the commander figures were pretty cool. The drones are no match for smaller fully transforming figures for the limbs, but the auto-transform limbs are what really held this line back, IMHO. Couldve been WAY better if the drones just manually transformed from vehicles to limbs for the combined form, preserving articulation and detail for the larger robot. Now that said, there's an…
