I recently updated my status stating I was going out of my way fulfil a pregnancy craving my wife was having. At the time I swear I thought I was telling the truth, and it was indeed partly true since we DID have Kato's Cajun sweet & sour chicken for dinner. What I didn't know was through an entirely plausible ruse she was setting me up for an early birthday surprise. We stopped at Toys'R'Us (the excuse being she wanted to check out the recently renovated Babies'R'Us section). While I was checking out car seats she wandered off, only to come back a few minutes later holding an MP Rodimus Prime and announcing this was in fact to be a Transformers birthday shopping spre…

Ok first I want to say I love 99% of the original transformers, but enough is enough.... We "need" a new cast or transformers is going to go stagnent! We are nearing a point inwhich the formers no longer have movie cred. and lets face it no transformers cartoon lasts more then three seasons because Hasbro is a money hungary bastich. We need a new cast an off shoot, a true spin off... Maybe the next generation lets face it even transformers die and one day even bumble bee will drop. My idea is a future setup where a new prime is named and maybe its a familiar face, but nearly all the cast would be new and maybe this prime would take the bots out space trekkin for a place…

When the TF3 came out I was excited to see it an even my wife was excited for me. But for some reason we never were able to make it to the theater an catch it. I had one opportunity but the theater was not that great, and that was only after I got the times wrong for Horrible Bosses, and decided to the see the last Harry Potter movie instead. So last Monday while on vacation in Australia my wife points out that the Darling Harbor IMAX was playing TF3 in 3D on the largest Imax in the world (8 Stories tall) and that we should go to see it. We arrive 30 minutes early, get our tickets, snacks and settle into a chair waiting for the theater to open. Slowly people beg…

I was going through Secularsage's blog on 1up.com the other day and discovered what I thought was a cool little fact. Peter Cullen performed briefly as the voice of famous video game plumber Mario on a show called Saturday Supersede. By all accounts the show was awful. However, given that I've been playing Mario games since Donkey Kong and it's still my favorite video game franchise, it was still a cool convergence of hobbies. That got me wondering: does anybody else have any fun Transformer-related trivia?

I know this is more of Comics Discussion part of the forum...but no one really goes to that part. So anyways I have sat down and re-read the Dreamwave comics which unfortunately closed shop in 2004 and I can't help but wonder where the TF series would be now if Pat Lee hadn't ran the company into the ground. While reading all the issues I managed to make out some pro's and con's between both companies. So here they are, and yes I know not everyone will agree with me: Dreamwave Pro's: Simon Furman or Brad Mick(forget his real name) where the 2 main writers so it was a streamlined story for the most part WWI Mini's Where able to use Bluestreak, Hot Rod and Octane…

Everything changes and matures over time, even in G1 Ironhide and Kup have matured and changed over time, bumble bee has gone from a youthful, quick witted, and snarky scout to a more mature frontline fighter (I actually love the idea that one day the decepticons get tired of bumle bee's mouth and shut him up for good and with that making him more cautious, but more of a warrior as well.). So who else needs an update, or who has matured the best over time? I'll start us off... Prime: big let down... Prime didn't need power armor, he didn't need to combine with anyone he was perfect a combo of john wayne and sparticus. Prime fought in the frontlines and went hand to ha…

Im guessing they stopped producing it for some reason, but what is up with the 100 dollar price tags for it new?

So I went to pay for a few figures I recently purchased on ebay. Then here comes the trouble... The first time I check out, everything goes fine up until I get to the "confirmation" page, at this point it redirects to the first step in the check out process. So thinking nothing of it I close the window. So I come back to ebay in ten minutes to check and see if it had sorted everything out. Of course it didnt, it claims I had not paid for anything. So I check my paypal and credit card history. Nothing is listed. No harm done, so I enter the checkout process for a second time. This time it seems to go quite smoothly, I even get the confirmation page. So I close the …
