The Transformers names that bother me, well there are too many, since the birth of the BEAST WARS series through the latter Galaxy Force.

Why did Hasbro & Takara re-cycled several names from former G1 characters and reassigned them to new figures instead of creating new original names?; I believe that's what has been the MAIN problem with so many Universes, contradictory stories and et al.

Just take a look to all the G1 toys and only just a few have "doubled" their designated names. Even when back then there were up to 350 aprox. figs. in the G1 series which was composed of 8 or so "seasons" (in the U.S. and Japan simultaneously).

And now since the Beast Wars, how many Bonecrushers, Jetstorms, Skydives, Overrides, Cyclonus, Scourges, Prowls, Sideswipes, Mirages, Hoists, Ironhides, Scavengers, Blurrs and several others are there?

Some names are really ...dull... like Rattrap, or Terrorsaur, or Tarantulas, ¿¿¿Dinobot??? or even Optimus Primal. Waaay back in the 80's, a name tried to match the personality of the 'bot or 'con, but now they use them to match what, TRADEMARKS?, Physical appearances?.

I hope that if Hasbro just keep using the prefix Autobot....Decepticon...Maximal...Predacon.... to solve their TM or Copyrighted names, then there would not be anymore confusions with future releases of old timers like SLAG or BOMBSHELL; just remember how it used to be:

Bumblebee<=>Goldbug/Goldback

Soundwave<=>Soundblaster

Blaster/Broadcast<=>Twincast

for examples. :tflol

Like Hun-Grr, Sinnertwin, Blot, Rippersnapper, Weirdwolf, Fangry, and Horri-bull are shining examples of good naming. :roll (the hell are these things, gobots?)At least Beast Wars characters actually had a personality, rather than a 2 dementional presentation and all that.

A: You forgot Spinister.

B: Sinnertwin is an awesome name.

Crap .. :tfpwn

I was gonna mention about all of the terrorcons, and but then I remembered Cutthroat wasn't such a bad name.. I guess I forgot to remove Sinnertwin.

I concur. Oh, the potential double-entendres.

Guiledart from the Japanese Beast Wars. I can understand the dart but what is a guile.

Uh.. it's a word. A noun to be precise. It means cunning, crafty, duplicitous, stealth, etc. :tmyk

also the greatest street fighter ever

SONIC BOOM!!!

Deathsaurus came into mind.

I really hate that Romanisation. Dezaras FTW!

Actually it's Deszaras... :run

What's with the Pre-Earth Dinobots the last time I checked they were built on Earth :khaaan

Depends on the continuity. Most of the comics have them built on Cybertron, IIRC~

Which is why comics are ghey.

You just say that because you never read them.

There's a reason for that. (I have tried.)
