I think it was that I was mega-gay for the Terrorcons and Technobots, and they totally took over the show for a while there. That's the only explanation I can come up with.

oh and BTW the much-ballyhooed animation on Call of the Primitives -- meh. TF:TM was way better.

Back to G1 cartoon suckage. My friend was harping on me for not liking Anime and he was like "So what? Is transformers awesome?" And I'm all "Dude, except for Beast Wars and the new show, Transformers is horrible for the most part." then he looked all sad because he likes the G1 cartoons.

only good part of call of the Primitives was the battle in battle in the beginning. Was the only time the 'cons were fighting the way they should have...2 combiners, Trypticon and tons of sweeps....and they were all looking badass...then the crap got thrown on...

Thankfully, there is the Beast Era and Animated to make us not feel entirely lame for our continued fandom.

I still like G1, not for the writing or animation quality, but for nostalgic sentimental reasons.

 

It reminds me of being a little kid.

 

I do admit though, If G1 came out now, even with better animation, It'd be cancelled in a heartbeat.
