Well, there you go. That counts as character development in a 1.5 hour movie that introduces 20 new characters.

2007 movie'd!

I have yet to be disappointed with any 1 figure from the line. I initially was really blah with V Megatron but man my first impression was wrong....he is great. Starscream and Lockdown definately gave me an initial OH SNAP! reaction. Cyb Prime is 100% an awesome overall toy. aaaahhhh love.

Since I last posted a few days ago, I've picked up several more of these. I heart them, they are really really great! So far I have:

-Dlx 2-pack Optimus Prime- all win. I love his tough stance. I bought him loose w/o his axe, but he holds an Energon axe quite well.

-Bumblebee- his head is kinda big, but he's fun, tho I wish his feet were more show-accurate

-Ratchet- prob. the weakest of the bunch, but still good. Such a great likeness, too

-Prowl- great, so many cool poses, and just about perfectly in scale with Movie Dlx Arcee. (Without getting adolescent, they can ride each other, it's pretty neat.)

-Lockdown- cold-filtered, Artesian-brewed awesome-sauce. Robot mode is just scary, so tall and gaunt, like The Tall Man from the Hellraiser movies, and that alt mode is one of the coolest TF cars ever. Do. Not. Mess.

-Starscream- might be my fave version of the character, two great modes. And a jet mode with landing gear!! The little shark faces on his missiles are a cool detail.

-Dlx Cyberton-mode Optimus Prime- more win. Alt-mode hidden weapon storage is just... well, it made me weep a little, it's just such a beautiful thing.

-Blackarachnia- she's a sexy beast. She'll make a great foe (foe, not ho, you pervs) for Prowl, they're both tall and lean.

I've had only one problem out of the box, a Starscream that was missing a thumb (exchanged); I've fixed some questionable design issues, such as BB's stingers, Lockdown's and 2-pk Prime's hands, Lockdown's, Ratchet's, and Prowl's knees, and SS's missiles (made them shorter). I do that sort of thing to all my TFs anyway. These little changes really enhance the poseability; e.g. BB can now give a salute, hand actually touching head, Ratchet can bend his legs 90-degrees for kneeling, etc.

I like the materials and colors, the matte finishes are a nice departure. And the pseudo-automorph features are clever and useful. I'm looking forward to rounding out my Autobots with Bulkhead, but I can't decide between Voyager (cheaper, show-accurate hands and ball-weapon) and Leader (better scale, cooler details). I've got Lugnut on the way from eBay ($18 loose, minus a $10 Paypal balance = $8!), and I'll prob. pick up 2-pack Dlx Megatron loose somewhere, ideally. I'm getting a lot more than I thought a lot sooner than I thought, which is bad for my marriage (when she finds out), but my collection doth multiply.

i got a the 2 pack

I broke down and preordered the 2-set of Leader Earth mode Megatron and Bulkhead on BBTS. I was really after just Megatron, but BBTS has already sold out of single preorders for him!

*was disappointed with EVERY TF from 1986 until BW*

*Except the Decepticon Air Strike Patrol and Autobot Air Patrol*

*was disappointed with every TF prior to 1986. Not with the lack of similarity to the show designs, but with the general fragility and lack of posability. Later G1 wasn't any more posable, but at least the toys were more durable.

Voyager Prime is all kinds of awesome.

I think he and Starscream are my favorites overall.

(Honorable mention: Prowl and Voy Bulkhead, the latter's face cracks me up everytime I look at it)
