(hence why some Transfans refer to them as "Disneyformers").

Who has been referring to them by that name?

Iknow thats what im askin... I think they have turned out very well... considering the nature of how there drawn and animated.. the toys are freakin awesome.

If anything they'd be "TeenTitansformers" or something.

yeah exactly... oh well lol

Dude... fundamentally speaking calling them "TeenTitansFormers" isn't that much different from people calling them "DisneyFormers" or "PlaySkoolFormers" (although PlaySkool Transformers is an entirely different line...) - the entire point of these nicknames is pointing out the fact that Transformers Animated revolves around a very intentional and unorthodox cartoonish design.

Some people love it, others hate it and others are impartial - but the fact is that Animated is a very cartoony design, hence the term. There's a page on TF Wikia that also refers to Animated as "Disneyformers" but I can't remember where that exact page is.

Aaaaaaanyway, I believe this thread is meant to be about focusing on the positive aspects of Animated, so let's get back to that. I was merely just sticking up for the movie line. :)

im not gonna lie, I was hesitant about Animated at first, but then I saw were Megatron trashed Prime when the Allspark key gave him a new body, and then I found the toys and man they turned out to be great... so now im all for Animated.

Let's not think for a minute that the movie toys actually resemble the CG robots in the Transformers movie...

and let's also not underestimate the difficulty of turning fluid cartoony models into real-life, working Transformers toys.

I think you are exagerating your points in both directions.

The movie bots are pretty damn close to the CGI models considering they are $10 and $20 toys.

and regardless of Screen Accuracy the movie bots have a lot to love about them. They have some really cool designs.

And lets also not overstate how 100% akurate TFA is. They arent. They are also pretty amazing though, and they certainly have benefited from the steep learning curve the design teams have been on for the last few years.

I think what i really like about the TFA Figs is that they are pretty complex but none of them (so far) are "difficult".

Aside from a Fiddly Cybertron Prime - all of the Transformations are pretty smooth and create solid figures in both modes.

In retrospect, I'm severely underwhelmed by the movie toys. And maybe it's unfair, because the movie robots were so freaking awesome-looking onscreen. But still, there it is.

And right now I'm looking at Prowl, Blackarachnia, Lugnut and Voyager Prime and thinking "wow these guys look like they stepped right out of the cartoon."

My luv for the figures (of either line) is not limited to show akurassy.
