Would you like me to make money of stuff you made with me giving credit to you in any way?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counterfeit
A counterfeit is an imitation that is made usually with the intent to deceptively represent its content or origins. The word counterfeit most frequently describes forged currency or documents, but can also describe clothing, software, pharmaceuticals, watches, or more recently, cars and motorcycles, especially when this results in patent infringement or trademark infringement.

Except that this particular version of Powerglide doesn't try to "deceptively represent" anything. That mold is 100% original.

Transformers is a brand name. This Powerglide is just as much of a Transformer as any KO you find, or any kitbash. Whether you consider those Transformers or not is up to you.

Hot Rod is getting overly worked up in semantics, and winds up severely wounding his point.

In the end, Hot Rod doesn't want this item, because it's not official (but it isn't a KO, mind you), other people might. Just let it rest.

Because that's just baseless trolling.

OMG. Someone is Wrong! We have to educate him immediately, or the Internet will break in half!

I could sculpt an imaginary truck out of cow feces, but if I wanted to call it Optimus Prime it would immediately become TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT.

I did. But he highlighted them out of context. Plus, it's common knowledge in the fandom, except for a few hardcore Outback guys, that a knockoff is an exact replica (or something that tries to be a replica) of something that already exists.
