JizaiToys PowerGlide

Four. You forget the Brave series Masterpiece they did.

Wrong, five. King Exkizer and Dragon Kizer. But 3 or 5, it's all the same.

Okay, I'm sorry. As awesome as those toys look, I don't like knockoff's.

Ok. But this thread is not about a knockoff, it's about a totally new mold.

no, it's a knock of of the 1985 powerglide mold.

I use KO lightly, they KO the brand and steal the figure, not the mold. They're making bucks of a name they do not own, simple as that. Hastakomy should kill their company and hire their designer.

3 and 5 are different things. I'd rather have 5 bucks then three. Just saying.

I think the terms in which you couch the issue are a bit off. I don't think that Hasbro or Takara sits around and says "how can we make a bunch of cheap crap" or "yeah we could do more MP figures but it's not worth it." Not everything needs to be interpreted in terms of "sucks" or "awesome", unless you're in high school or something.

Again, you're just playing with words. Do we really have to overexplain ourselves all the time here?

What I'm saying is that your overly simplistic and ignorant analysis does nothing to help your credibility.

Nope. Totally different mold. Can't you see all the added articulation and detailing? That wasn't on the original toy. Therefore it's not a knockoff. At best, a non-licensed never done before version of a licensed character. A knockoff is a fake G1 Prime. A fake G1 Metroplex. A fake G1 Metrotitan. A fake G1 tape. A fake G1 Dinobot. A fake G1 Devastator. And so on.

As awesome as those toys look, I don't like knockoff's...especially ridiculously over-priced ones.

WST Dinorobots were cheap, and after the first one, an arrangement was made between Just I Toys and TT/Has. They were allowed to continue producing the line as long as they didn't call them by any of TT/Has licensed names. Hence they became Dinorobots as opposed to Dinobots, and Commander instead of Commander Grimlock.

For the record, I have never intended to buy the Just I Toys Trailer or Megatron accessory kit. TT gave me a trailer, and did everyone else forget that in the Japaese market Megatron never once came with any of these accessories until it was reissued in 2001?

I grabbed a Raiden KO ($5) to determine if it was worth the money to spend $400 on an actual product, and will eventually throw it in the trash once I can muster up the cash for a real one, and not once has it ever been displayed, especially not with my TFs.

I work in the design field so please don't preach costs to me, I know what it takes, and with modern computer design and rapid prototyping, it takes very little; unless you take into consideration the amount of money that had to be spent on the equipment to produce them. These are most likely made on a machine just like THIS LINK keeping production numbers small because of the time required to produce a single item.

A counterfeit is an imitation that is made usually with the intent to deceptively represent its content or origins. The word counterfeit most frequently describes forged currency or documents, but can also describe clothing, software, pharmaceuticals, watches, or more recently, cars and motorcycles, especially when this results in patent infringement or trademark infringement.

This thing will never have an official after market value. It is not a transformer. So how can you refer to it as a "limited piece"? A limited piece of nothing is nothing.

you mean if I want real transformers I have Hasbro :tflaugh BTW from an economics stand point, these scratch builders would make more money selling their kits to a larger company like hasbro or takara who could mass produce them, sell them for cheaper and sell a hell of a lot more.

So if someone like this JizaiToys guy does all the amazing work it's not a Transformer... but if Hasbro bought it and put their name on it, that makes it a Transformer? That's brilliant logic.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, I call it a duck.

If it looks nothing like the one from the cartoon, transforms nothing like the cartoon... I call it Hasbro.

Hasbro is a company. Transformers are the artistic creations that Hasbro milks by making crap and selling it... and putting their branding on. Beyond that... call it whatever you want. Knockoff, license violation, etc.

If I have own something that looks more like the cartoon version than the crap Hasbro makes I'm calling it a Transformer.

no, it's a knock of of the 1985 powerglide mold.

It's not a knockoff of the Hasbro mold... it's got almost nothing in common with that piece of crap. It's a dead-on accurate model/toy version of the cartoon character.

:tflaugh no that's fact.

I'll just pretend you never wrote that.
