JizaiToys PowerGlide

Recommended Posts

yeah, i'm sure that they were sitting around thinking of awesome characters to make and powerglide friggen came up. These guys are in it for the money as much as Hasbor/takara whatever, that's the only way to explain the $200- $500 price tag.

The price tag is based on the time and work that goes into making a higher quality product. Not some stamped out piece of garbage.

That's why you pay more for a Mercedes than you do for a Hyundai.

Blotting on a guy for taking what is more than likely >10x more time and effort than the modelers at Hasbro is insane.

Are we so sure that these toys are higher quality? From what I've read from people who own JizaiToys products, they can be prone to paint issues and loose joints.

he doesn't look all that complicated to me. There is a ton of newer hasbro stuff that blows this mold so far out of the water it isn't even funny.

Anyway, whoever came up with that $500 price tag got that price out of his ass. Like I said, Wheelie and Cyclonus are selling for $200 or less.

Just to elaborate on my first comment...I have seen Cyclonus and Wheelie go for over $500 several times on ebay. I have been watching them for over a year now just hoping. They do hover around $300 normally and go under $200 sometimes.

In addition, I believe these high prices come from scalpers. The guys that do this actually have decent prices ($80-$100 I think) when you buy them at a convention. It is just that the first 3 people buy them all and then resell for the outrageous prices we see.

Overly simplistic = reducing Hasbro's entire business model to "producing cheap crap"

Ignorant = Pascal doesn't work at Hasbro

Credibility = lowered

It's only trolling if it's not true :)

Overly simplistic = thinking I'm reducing Hasbro's entire business model to "producing cheap crap"

Ignorant = Lord Madhammer is not Pascal AND doesn't work at Hasbro

Credibility = none

... this is the dumbest fight I've seen on these boards.

Seriously, is this an April Fools joke?

Sorry, next time I won't read your posts and will just assume that you're super smart and know what you're talking about.

well you've only been here since 07 so that's understandable.

:uh

Just for fun, ask the guy from tfw2005 that developped his own Hearts of Steel Optimus Prime how much money he had to invest from his own pocket to make it reality. Or Anemis how much money he spent developping his own MP Magnus trailer, his MP Megatron, etc. Or the guy who produced the transforming MP Arcee.

This is true... good point.

As far as I have read (there is a post somewhere on this forum) Hasbro is only worried about people who try to pose their product, bash...as the REAL THING. Many people repaint exclusives or creating packaging that looks as if the product is official. These guys DO NOT use the "Transformers" logos or name sakes in anyway; hence they can sell this product as a home made object.

You can also consider this ART, or at least it is "Kitsch", and you could get around legal matters in that aspect as well.

I do believe that Autobot symbol is not an original design.

But yes, they're not trying to pass them off as Hasbro originals, thus are not counterfeits as Hot Rod claimed.
