So... we got our answers. Sadly, 1 and 2 were every bit as generic answers as could have been expected. 4 and 5... well, that's a shame. We probably should have checked to make sure we weren't doubling up on questions, though.

All in all... it wound up feeling really... unsatisfying.

Nice of Hasbro to answer us, though.

Unfortunately, we didn't know the questions that the other sites were asking, so we couldn't have figured out which ones to ask based on that.

All things considered, the different boards did a pretty good job of asking different questions, I thought.

Either way we learned what exactly? No Alternity. (Oh well.) And just like before, Universe/Classics 2.0 will get the big heave-ho as soon as the next batch of movie whoring is ready to ship. Alright, I think we're really starting to make some progress here with the big "H". At this rate I'd say they'll be listening to what we (the grown-ups who buy Transformers) want by at least the year 2272. :deadhorse

Oh, wait, so that five is all of the questions they'll be answering for this round?

Huh.

Well, there ya go.

Yes, Hasbro exists to make money. Classics was a filler line, and that trend is continuing with Universe. :shrug I don't think it should really surprise anyone that the movie and Animated are first priority for Hasbro.

I like how they completely sidestepped the issue of the appalling horrible paint-aps we've been seeing lately, and saying things like "ball joints are designed to pop off if there's too much pressure applied". :grrr

:lame

MikePrime: Will there be a Transformers Crossovers G.I. Joe line?

We have had many discussions about GI Joe Transformers either executed as the other Crossovers lines or even true to the Comic (Joe figures and Transformers figures together). Right now is just not the best time with the Movies being the main focus for brands, so don't expect to see it in 2009.

Curses! Foiled by movie toys again. :argh

If I remember, Animated got pushed back to June to allow the movie more shelf time :fail

So there's that :duck
