Discussion Thread for Ask Hasbro Your Burning Transformers Question - Part I

Recommended Posts

Question though, WHO picks the questions for Hasbro? Is it Hasbro themselves?

I think all of the participating websites submit their questions to Hasbro, which then picks the questions they ultimately answer.

Yeah, I hope the TFormers dudes separate the wheat from the chaff on our questions before they send them. :doh

What Hasbro's been doing it at the GI Joe boards is each board gets its own set of 5 questions. Hisstank.com gets 5, Joecustoms.com gets 5, etc., I think that's the way they're going to do it with the TF questions.

The way they do it over at joecustoms is 1) each member submits a question, 2) after a certain deadline, the staff puts up a poll where the members vote on the 5 best questions, 3) the 5 winning questions are submitted to Hasbro to be answered.

Sorry guys, accidentally typed the time in at 12 hour intervals instead of 24, so it closed it at noon today. However, it has now been re-opened. If you still need to ask a question, ask away!

There sure seems to be a mysteriously high number of members with only 1 or 2 posts participating in this little QA session :schin

Other then a few, there also asking questions wrong. They way they wont get picked.

Ooh sweet, this is becoming the "make fun of the dumbass questions in that other thread" thread.

I was just trying to point out to FIX their questions so they are correctly asked, AS asked. ;) Not making fun of, actually, trying to help. :thumb

Well, it took me 2 HOURS to find, but i looked up to find those questions answered by Hasbro. You were correct, they did ask only 5, so i imagine that 5 is the decided amount of questions they ask each site.. Oh it was Cybertron.ca that already had their questions answered by Has, a few months ago.

*throws in for the day*

I think i shouldve re-asked about any plans for Animated Human figures. i think i got a big NO at Comic con...at least from the audience ;_;

I think Animated human figures would be a natural and awesome idea.

your agreement and hard to pronounce username makes me happy :tflaugh

It's not so much a pronunciation as it is a state of mind.

Or a lifelong obsession for a large percentage of the population.

I agree with many of you that there are questions in the thread that made me smack my forehead. Unfortunately, because it's a subconscious reaction, my forehead is now bruised from these "WTF" questions.

Don't worry. The questions that are either a) ridiculous or b) not questions at all, will not be chosen.

As I said in the first thread on the Q&A thread, we get five questions. We need to choose carefully, though, as Hasbro has the right to refuse answering any questions, so we need to make sure we're choosing the best of the batch.

This Q&A program launched and the deadline for the submission of the first set of questions was rather close in timing, so we had little time to figure out a way to have members agree on these questions.

The next time this happens (in November) we will have a better way for you guys to have input on the questions we submit. If anybody has an idea, I would love to hear it, so shoot me a PM and I will consider it.

I'm glad many of you are interested in this Q&A session, and really, why would you not be? However, some ground rules include only asking one question. Some of you posted more than once, when I explicitly stated that you only get one question and to replace that question if you want to ask a new one. :schin

But so far, this is great! I am peeling through the questions right now and will be running it by Jack. Ultimately, the first batch will be based on our judgement, but like I said, you guys will have a say in the next session, so keep your tomatoes until then.

Thanks for making this great fun. You guys have some great questions and will be considered. Remember, if we don't pick your question, you may resubmit for the next session.

Peace!
