Discussion Thread for Ask Hasbro Your Burning Transformers Question - Part I

Recommended Posts

protip: if you can't take criticism don't post in public :P

also, i know activision do like arcade games type stuff but i really don't think hasbro would give a hoot about some mmo (ie: would take too much effort for too little cash return) - what i was trying to say is fire your idea to a few game companies likely to show some interest

hey i think my question probably sucked too (in hindsight...)

Oh, and there's nothing personal about the internet, but that's no reason to knock other people's ideas. And that's not just targetted at you, as I saw plenty of question bashing.

But their questions were stupid... :tfsad

The man makes a valid point.

I'm glad that my question was chosen. Although ,I think Hasbro really could use the extra advice that I added after my question. I know that no G.I. Joe collector wants Transformers that look like G.I. Joe and Cobra characters.

I'm glad my "QC! :nooo " was made into a less angsty version.

Wait, the questions were already chosen?

All right guy! Thanks for all of the great questions!

We chose the best five (DISCLAIMER: According to our judgement) and have submitted them to the contact at Hasbro.

The five questions we have submitted are!

1) Are there any steps being taken to address for the recent quality issues in the Transformers: Animated and Universe lines? (From a combination of many posters)

2) Hasbro has said that the Universe line is a tribute to all eras of Transformers. Can you reveal any figures currently in the pipeline, or planned for production, that the fans can look forward to? (From a combination of many posters)

3) What is the process you use to decide which characters get made into which size class? (From I'm Batman)

4) Will there be a Transformers Crossovers G.I. Joe line? (From MikePrime)

5) Will the Alternity Convoy figure (in either color) see a US release? (From BLACKOUT34)

From the schedule that we received, we will be getting responses to a) all, b) some, c) none, on October 13th! Stay tuned!

Hobbes predicts Hasbro's answers!

1) Are there any steps being taken to address for the recent quality issues in the Transformers: Animated and Universe lines? (From a combination of many posters)

Quality Control is very important to us, and we're doing our best to make sure that the problems of the past do not plague the figures of the future.

2) Hasbro has said that the Universe line is a tribute to all eras of Transformers. Can you reveal any figures currently in the pipeline, or planned for production, that the fans can look forward to? (From a combination of many posters)

Our main focus right now is the Movie Sequel toyline, but be assured that Universe is still alive and kicking, and we will continue to pull from all eras of the franchise's history for characters to pay tribute to.

3) What is the process you use to decide which characters get made into which size class? (From I'm Batman)

Determining size class is an involved process that may involve any or all of the following, including - complexity of the figure, character recognition (i.e. how popular he is), and a desire to, whenever cost allows, be as faithful as we can be to the character's appearances in other media.

4) Will there be a Transformers Crossovers G.I. Joe line? (From MikePrime)

There are no plans for such a crossover at this time, but never say never.

5) Will the Alternity Convoy figure (in either color) see a US release? (From BLACKOUT34)

There are no plans for that figure to be released stateside at this time, but never say never.

Ooh, thanks. guess I totally wasn't paying attention.

I'm glad my question was covered by #2 (*shakes fist* G2!!!!!! :truthy)

Girl, you know it's true :tflaugh

Occasionally with the Star Wars questions, there's an interesting insight or bit of information dropped. But yeah. It also doesn't help that most of the SW web sites submit the same questions over and over again (MOAR PLAYSETS!!!1).
