Discussion Thread for Ask Hasbro Your Burning Transformers Question - Part I

Recommended Posts

Either way we learned what exactly? No Alternity. (Oh well.) And just like before, Universe/Classics 2.0 will get the big heave-ho as soon as the next batch of movie whoring is ready to ship.

Yes, Hasbro exists to make money. Classics was a filler line, and that trend is continuing with Universe. :shrug I don't think it should really surprise anyone that the movie and Animated are is first priority for Hasbro.

If I remember, Animated got pushed back to June to allow the movie more shelf time :fail

So there's that :duck

And this:

TFW2005: Will there be an Omega Supreme toy for Animated?

Hasbro: Not in the near future. In order to do Omega Supreme justice, it would need to be Leader or Supreme Class. And we typically only launch those as new molds in the fall. With the Movie coming out this summer, the higher priced toys will be in the Movie line. But we do love the way he turned out and would love to see him in the line.

Which only happened because Hasbro misunderestimated the popularity of the movie toys. DOMINO'D

if only there was a feature that would read your post out loud for you before you post it, so you could realize how stupid your question was...

ah, I'm just messin with you

but seriously, you guys didn't have to ask Hasbro these questions, I could have answered em for you in exactly the same way.

also knuclear's question was really stupid.

j/k

no I'm not.

TFW2005: Will there ever be GI Joe styled 3.75 inch figures for human characters (any generation)?

Hasbro: There are currently no plans for a 3.75" scale human figure in any Transformers line, but we do have an awesome concept for Fall 2009 in support of the movie that I think you will find very cool! Stay tuned

Ya know, this is a crossover that actually makes sense. They should concentrate on this instead of the totally arbitrary crossover franchises like Marvel and Star Wars. But then again, GI Joe Transformers probably would not have as much appeal to children and Wolverine/Spiderman or Darh Vader Transformers probably do sell better.

But, I would be much more interested in a Rattler Transformer in scale with a 3.75 inch figure. This is a cross over I would love. I have never bought a Star Wars or Marvel Transformer crossover toy. I love Star Wars and Marvel but not with my Transformers.

A GI Joe/Transformer crossover line would make definite sense to me though and I would spend money on them fer sure.

:pfx As compared with the SW and Marvel crossovers, a Joe/TF crossover at least makes sense due to the fact that there's a story to go with it.

All those answers make sense, and were not surprising.

And I'm not going to TFW2005 anymore, they have friggin' movie spoilers posted on the front page. :argh

If you have an account you can set it so you don't those...of course you have to brave the front page to get to your account controls...

Yeah, I haven't had a need to log in to TFW in several years now.

...several years? Holy crap, I've been talking about Transformers online for 4 years now.

Sorry if this one's already been suggested, I haven't really been following the thread.

What if we used this to create a petition for a Leader Class reworking of the Universe Galvetron that just came out. I think most people on here seem to agree this was ALMOST a really fantastic toy. I just picked one up and while I think I'm happier with it than some here, it's painfully clear a very special opportunity was missed. Does anybody not think he would have made a better choice than several of the larger scale toys from this line?

Let me segue way one more angle off this question- maybe we should ask them if they'd take polls where possible before deciding which toys to do in the larger scales. I know I'm not the only one who would have taken a leader class Bonecrusher or Blackout over Brawl from the last movie as well. I'm still hoping Starscream might get the treatment this time around.
