  1. Really enjoyed this story, although I have to admit that Josh's art style really isn't to my tastes. Ties up some loose ends that had been left hanging for far too long.
  2. About Raiz's different art style. I seem to recall someone suggesting that this was likely a conscious choice. Since this is documentary, we're seeing (more or less) the "realistic" way that Rewind saw the ship and its crew, rather than the more story-centric way that we (the comic-reading audience) are usually intended to see the story. I could be wrong, of course.
  3. Actually, there was a comment about this in the most recent issue of the club magazine. Sounds like things have been delayed until just after BotCon.
  4. Well, if you have different experience, I'd definitely be curious about that, but I was under the impression that I couldn't order the set without logging in with my membership credentials. Theoretically, if one isn't a member, it might still be cheaper to go elsewhere (my previous post notwithstanding, because I never include the membership price in these exclusives. Membership price is for membership). The word is that the Japanese version, in yen, is less than $20 less than FunPub's price. Since that yen price is only for folks buying direct from e-Hobby, and e-Hobby doesn't ship outside of Japan, this means that those of us who would seek to get the set from a non-FunPub source would have to pay mark-up beyond that yen price. It is doubtful the usual sites that provide us with e-Hobby toys will be able to undercut FunPub's price. Even allowing for shipping.... Depends on where you buy it from, it can still be cheaper then the tfcc. I was going to buy it but the Sound blaster mold looks wrong being all white You're welcome to try, but I'm actually betting against finding a place cheaper than TFCC on this one. For the reasons already stated. There is no trying, G.B. There are places where they are cheaper, Like when I got Punch Counterpunch for $40 and that was after the release and the skyrocket on eBay. G.B I highly suggest, that you look around the net and you will find them cheaper. I know of 2 places that always sell E-Hobby and TFCC exclusives for way less than E-Hobby and TFCC. Next time do not be so quick to jump the gun, or mock But I will give you a hint, Guangzhou, China, and yes I I've made a few friends there over the years The point I was making was that this situation is different from any previous club exclusive. Therefore, your previous experiences (such as with P/CP) don't really apply. See the post from Emerje at the end of the previous page. (I'm also not interested in discussing illegal operations, if that's what you mean by referencing Guangzhou)

  7. The double door is because Tomy is using the Soundblaster mold not the Soundwave mold. Yeah, the original mold for Soundwave was damaged beyond repair. Since 2009? (You have to admit, that's a pretty recent use of the single-door version to make such a claim, and I haven't heard of such damage so recently) But even granting that, it's been demonstrated that even that wouldn't be a total impediment, should they really want to go there. It's just easier (and cheaper!) for them to go with is already viable.
  8. This guy can be whatever color he wants, since he has no resemblance to the Rumble I know (outside of the existence of piledrivers, and I preferred the interpretations of Rumble that didn't include those anyway).
  9. Doesn't impress me just makes me take it with an even smaller grain of salt. Sorry but I know people too and honestly someone from Fun Publications is small time. And like I said I will wait for a better picture This has since been officially confirmed on the club's site itself, but I do feel the need to comment on the fact that Fun Pub is small time. Of course it is. I'm not saying otherwise, but when someone who works for Fun Pub in the specific area of design says that Fun Pub absolutely is doing something a certain way, why should I NOT take that seriously? Being "small time" doesn't enter into it. It's a person who represents the company itself.
  10. So you've said a few times now (re: Ultra Mammoth). Personally, I quite like Animated.
  11. Actually, the word is at this point: Jackpot = New head (it doesn't look like it in the picture, I know, but I trust Jesse Wittenrich when he says something like this) Slipstream = New head Breakdown = Reused FP-designed head So no lies OR misinformation, it turns out. I will need a better pic of Jackpots mug, cause it looks just like Jazz's, nothing against your friend but until I see a better pic, I'm taking it with a grain of salt Perhaps you don't know who Jesse Wittenrich is. Maybe the link will help. (After Pete and Brian, he's perhaps the most likely to be "in the know" about club exclusives as anyone. With Lanny, Trent, and M Sipher also contenders for that spot. I can't really call him "friend," since we've only met in person a couple of times, although I would welcome such a friendship.) As much to the point, he's unlikely to say something on the basis on such a bad picture, because I do agree with you that the image isn't especially clear as evidence for a new head. Animated Jackpot is possibly the most pointless figure to give a new head to..... especially using Animated Jazz as the basis, the original head was spot-on as is for an Animated incarnation of the character... just a waste overall Others have suggested the same (although I disagree). But at that point we're having a different conversation. (For what it's worth, in the past hour or two, the club site itself has confirmed that Jackpot has a new head)
  12. I'm not sure what you mean by "annual club pre-order exclusive". Do you mean the club membership incentive figure (Depth Charge for 2013)? If so, I don't think there's any danger of a sell-out, provided you become a member before March 16th. If you wait until later (when extras are put up at the store), well, that's the same risk you'd be taking with these subscription figures if you choose to wait. The situation with Over-Run should never happen again. The subscription model replaces that model for club exclusives entirely. Or do you mean something related to the convention (not club) exclusives (which do continue to be limited run and must usually be pre-ordered, at least in the case of the box sets, to avoid a sell-out)? I mean figures like Over-Run, G2 Ramjet, Punch/Counterpunch, too many to list etc... As far as the subscription service COMPLETELY replacing the standard club pre-order (not the freebie, the one you gotta wait until March to order).... Well I'll believe that when I see it, but I'm fairly certain that TFCC will announce something that is ridiculously limited in quantity and only available for a grand total of 5 min. Come January. Then your certainty flies in the face of what FP has told us they're doing. Nothing to do at that point except wait and see. (As to the freebie, DON'T "wait until March" to order it! That's the DEADLINE. The LAST time at which you can order it. You can order it by renewing your membership right now if you want to!)
