Actually, it's not a retread: it's telling the story they way it was MEANT to be told. There's a BIG difference.

I hope they start of Cybertron with the beginning of the war, then take it a bit futher into time to show Cybertron turning into a wasteland. Then Prime and his top bots leave, finding Earth and such and Crashland within the first 15-20mins of the movie. Thne we start with the revival and the new war for Earth. I hope it ends with a climatic battle of Prime stopping Megatron from leaving Earth with a bunch of energon. I know it shoulds like a complete rehash, but I'd like it done to a more dramatic and war-torn aspect.

And atleast one main Autobot in the movie should die, showing the war-pains these guys have dealt with for thousands of years.

I hope the main cast is:

Autobots -- Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Prowl, Hound, Silverstreak, Bumblebee, and Wheeljack

Decepticons -- Megatron, Starscream, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Soundwave (w/ his tapes), and Seeker Drones/Droids.

I also hope Shockwave, Brawn, Ultra Magnus, Tracks, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Thrust, Dirge, and Astrotrain are in the background as extras.

My guess is the movie will begin from the human characters' point of view, keeping a bit of mystery at first - maybe with some scientists investigating some weird happenings. We'll see the Transformers in their alt-modes first, transforming on cue to have a battle. This way the first transforming scenes will have better dramatic impact - what looked like an ordinary semi truch is now a thirty foot high robot. Any shots of Cyberton and how the TFs came to Earth will only be as flashbacks.

Here's who I'd like to see in the movie (should the 7 on each side not include Prime and Megatron):

Autobots:

Prowl

Jazz

Ratchet

Bumblebee

Sideswipe

Sunstreaker

Wheeljack-seeing his ariel-car stunts would be a blast watching him do that while thinking, which, according to his charcter profile, he tends to do

you could have soundwave easily....cd player, come on!! and all this talk of megatron as tank...i know... but lets see him in all his glory as a gun. maybe they can do that since it will be a movie and not cartoon. i would also like to add on what someone said about a combiner fight...maybe at the end of the movie stunticons....constructicons (my fav). also it would be cool to follow the example of the Xmen movies and how they handled such a big cast: have a small concentrated cast for fans and non fans to connect with and then have cameos for the die hard fans. maybe have characters in the background or just drive by

oh heres my list:

autobots

optimus prime (obviously)

bumblebee

hound

jazz

ratchet

ironhide

decepticons

megatron

starscream

astrotrain

soundwave (cd player)

thundercracker

skywarp

shockwave (possibly)

im gonna have to add blitzwing ....man how could i forget him.. im dumb

instead of shockwave if anyone cares...
