I don't think it would be Sam-style. I think it would be more "deep cover". My money would be that he doesn't get a relationship with his driver and doesn't transform. The Autobots are in hiding at the end of the movie, right? So the Jazz Pontiac pulls up at an intersection with a Martini deco with a setup line about:

 

"Look at what I fished out of a junkyard..."

 

"Those are Martini racing colors. Their car's a Ford. That's a Pontiac."

 

"There's more than meets the eye to this car, man... It's got a kickass stereo system."

 

Or Spike just sees it and does a doubletake. No transformation. No relationship with the driver. But you'd just have Jazz in his familiar colors with a little nod that confirms (or just SUGGESTS) that he survived.

 

We know there have been TWEAKS to the script.

 

Now... My spoiler-laden observation and question...

 

 

We know that Jazz dies if we've followed the script leaks. So "final battle" makes sense. But I could have sworn in the script that I saw that one of the 'bots got separated from the others and wound up being used in some kind of racing circuit.

 

Do you suppose this deco might be in the film?

 

Ford has a relationship with Martini.

 

I could see some guy street racing Jazz. Maybe some line like:

 

"Dude! Are you confused? Those are the Martini racing colors. That's a Pontiac."

 

"Trust me. There's nothing ordinary about this Pontiac."

 

What might make a LOT of sense, actually, given the plot twists I've seen excluded from various leaked scripts and novelizations is if Jazz survives the final battle.

 

The SUPERMAN RETURNS novel left out the reveal with the kid as did some of the script leaks. It's easier to omit than to add.

that line should never be spoken in the movie, esp like that. sounds like one of those 50yr old dads thats got a young kid and their trying to be cool. thats as bad as the whole "their world or war" thing from the prequel comic.

if they kill jazz, which they will, he shouldn't return at all, same way when they kill OP, he shouldn't return. which is something i'm betting on being in the second movie btw.

 

Speaking of Starscream's head mold. I showed my little brother the new Starscream's face on his packaging (he's not a super fan like me but has sat through the movie, some g1 eps and probably all of Beast Wars) and he said the same thing I said, "He looks like Waspinator!" I told him they call em a BugMunky on the webs.

That was never in the leaked script. So don't expect it to happen in the movie.

After looking at the cross-sells on some of the pictures posted recently, I think "Final Battle Jazz" is a battle-damaged movie Jazz with a new/different gun.

They shouldn't do that. Cause then any newly gained fans to the franchise will have the same result that happened when that happened in the '86 movie.

 

 

I'm sure Megatron will return by the end of the second or somewhere in the third.
