Why is it suddenly a bad thing to be G1 accurate? Things went from, "GAWD I hate these movie designs! My childhood is destroyed! MP 03 is green with hip wings, NOOOOOOOO!" to "G1 looks dumb. I cool with a homage but I dont want an extreme homage. MP03 in G1 colors is looks silly in todays times."

 

Nobody changed their minds, just those of us (me including) who were never big fans of the G1 colors are voicing our opinions more loudly.

They're not flimsy at all -- in fact, those shoulder things won't / can't move from their default position no matter what. It's a very solid toy and doesn't have any loose bits anywhere. FYI

I have Movie Jazz, and he's a nice figure. If I decide to get this, it'll be to stick him with my Classics and make him Classics Jazz, just like my Cybertron Smokescreen is Classics Smokescreen, and Cybertron Blurr is Classics Blurr.

 

Screamer, meh. However, the Ratchet in G1 colors isn't a bad idea. Will have to wait until this fall to see what they do of it. Can you guys imagine Ironhide in G1 colors. Now that would just be downright ugly. With his head, may not be able to pull it off. I'm still somewhat skeptical of G1 color Ratchet. Unless they do like they are with Screamer and giving him a new head as well.

 

Now the absolute worst idea would be DLX Scorponok in G1 Headmaster Scorponok colors. Bonecrusher in Constructicon green would be kind of meh. Brawl is the only Decepticon who's in the same pool as Prime and Jazz. His vehicle mode and color scheme are similar to their G1 selves, with some modifications to the heads.

Yep. Starscream is mistransformed in those pics - they did not peg in the support bar or flip up his shoulder properly. The G1 colors look like ass on him BTW. Not as bad as what we've seen previously, but still icky.

 

Jazz OTOH is the first redeco that actually looks really nice IMO.

After some thinking I have to say that if I had to choose between the G1 colored SS and the G1 TC I'd have to go with SS. I know that the Blue Angels are FA-18 hornets, but it'd be nice if TC was given their color scheme rather than the G1 colors. I think that scheme would go along with the figure a lot better.
