The only thing missing from Classics are more Classics. Bring on Jazz, Ironhide, and the rest of the MTMTE cast.

Prepare to start kicking

Classics Ratchet and Ironhide would seriously rock. I'd personally like to see Ratchet done in a show-like form with colours from both the cartoon and comics (i.e.: have the red helmet from the comics, but also the red cross on the shoulder from the cartoon - I designed my Ratchet cosplay this way :P) and Ironhide done in a War-Within style hybrid of being both toy-accurate and showlike (i.e.: have a showlike head, but keep the toy-accurate windscreen in front of it). My reasons for wanting this are:

1/ It would be a neat tribute to the G1 Ironhide and Ratchet toys (as well as a tribute to War Within Ironhide)

2/ It would help make Ironhide look distinctive from Ratchet - they would no longer be repaints of the same base mould.

3/ I already have OTFCC Ironhide (which was far more common than OTFCC Ratchet), so I already have an Ironhide made as a tribute to G1 Ironhide's show likeness. A more show like Ratchet would finally allow me to own a Ratchet with G1 show likeness and having a hybrid style Ironhide would also be of better value for me.

I dont think there is anything missing from the Classics line. They need no gimmics because they are very cool just the way they are.

MY thought exactly. :thumb

Although it isn't too bad though. I think it gives us time to get the figures now and make room for the others. I just got Prime and Megs and can't be happier with them. Although very different from the origionals they still have the spirit of what made This line great. I'm thoroughly impressed with them.

My only problem so far is that Megs had that orange nonsence on the tip of his cannon and his gun. His gun mode looks as toy-like as anything...I just don't see a reason for it. My two cubes.

I totally agree. Of course, the gun mode looks so toy-like and so brightly coloured because of their compliance with safety laws. But as I've also said before, seriously - if you can't do a proper gun Megatron (i.e.: realistic gun mode) then just don't do it at all. As Jazz always says, "Do it in style or don't bother doing it!"

That's why when Megatron was reissued by Takara, I immediately picked him up! (only cost me AU$40 too!) Later on when Hasbro began their reissues, there was discussion as to whether or not Hasbro could reissue Megatron, but it was generally agreed by most fans that it would be impossible since Hasbro would need to modify Megatron's alt mode (since it is a scale replica of a Walther P-38) and also place an orange tip on the barrel to comply with current laws - which would utterly ruin the Megatron reissue. I think it was shortly before or shortly after Takara did their second reissue of Megatron that Hasbro ruled out reissuing Megatron.

Anyway... I'm personally abstaining from nerf-gun Megatron. I'll wait for the tank Megatron that comes with the more G1-accurate Optimus Prime. :thumb

I just recently found them and picked up starscream. I honestly have no complaints for the line, except that I don't have them all yet. We've finally gotten some g1 goodness with articulation. Now if they could only give Starscream a waist to go with his knees... :schin

I found Classics Astrotrain yesterday, but had to abstain from it because I didn't have enough money. But it was awful tempting to put back some of the other stuff and just pick him up.

Time machine mode, go!
