"Starscream do my optics decieve me I seem to see a bunch of Autobots down there in that building just sitting there drinkin?" "Yeah that`s that Autobot bar Maccadam`s let`s go gett some drinks and have some fun. What do you think Skywarp?" "Sounds good to me." "Yeah me too Starscream." "Alright guys let`s go." As they entered the bar it looked like a scene out of an old western, all of the Autobots drunk as they were still recognized who the 3 figures who just walked through the door were and were at arms immediately. Then the bar tender held his hand up as to say at ease. "So Starscream what`ll it be?" "The ussual Cosmos." "And from me Screamy*hick*?" "Starla!? You shouldn`t be here." "Why *hick* not?" "Because Megatron and I have just started a war over these little minicons. Guys let`s go we`re done here." As they left Thundercracker had had way too much to drink and started shooting as he lept into the air and hit the oil tanks in the bar with some stray shots and BOOOOOM! the bar went up in flames.

 

"Hey Jetfire isn`t that Maccadam`s bar?" "NOOOOOO! MOM!" "Don`t worry Jetfire we`ll find her." But Jetfire didn`t hear Optimus over the sound of his sonic boom. In what`s left of Maccadam`s "Mom where are you? Mom!" "O-over h-here J-Jetfire." When he found her all that was left of her was just her upper torso and most of her head was even missing. "Mom what happened here?" "S-starscream came in and one of his b-brothers b-blew up t-the b-bar." "What was Starscream doing here?" "D-don`t be m-mad at me I-I w-was dating him." "You were wha-- Mom? Mom come on mom don`t leave me. MOM!" But she could no longer answer as her spark had been extinguished. "Starscream and his brothers will paaaaaaaaay!" Back out side the few drunken Autobots who had survived the explosion were basically just shooting anything that moved hoping to hit one of the seeker brothers and they had actually shot down Thundercracker and Skywarp and to their surprise even their brother was taking aim at them in response to them destroying the bar and his girlfriend. "Hey Starscream what are you doing?" "I`m doing to you what you did to Starla, Thundercracker!""Starscream you and your brothers will pay for my mom`s death!" "Jetfire! Hold back these are the original seekers they`ll eat you alive!" "Not with Commetor powerlinked with me." and with that Jetfire lunged forward and smashed Starscream`s face in and sending him flying into the mob of drunken Autobots so hard they all attacked him thinking that Starscream was attacking them again. The mob then returned to ripping Thundercracker and Skywarp to pieces.

"Optimus old friend I`ve returned from earth." "Your son is arriving as well Rodimus I pray that Primus was able to help him find your daughter Arcee." "Optimus Rodimus Jr`s ship is landing sir." "Well no matter what I`ll get to see what my son has learned in his very short time at the academy." "Very short time is right Rodimus he only attended classes for about a week." Minutes later Rodimus Jr`s ship landed. "Roddy? Wow you`ve changed. Did you find Arcee Roddy? Roddy?" "D-Dad s-she`s d-d- :tfsad " "It`s ok Roddy you don`t have to say it I understand." Just then FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! "So I get to kill not only the son but the father as well :mwahaha !" "Shockblast!" "W-who dad?" "Shock blast he works for Unicron. What are you doing here Shockblast?" "Like I said Rodimus Prime I`m going to kill both you and your son. Cyclonus was sent to do the job but your son actually over powered him you 2 should really feel honored that Unicron has sent me." "For some reason Shockblast I don`t see that happening." "Why`s that?" "Oh maybe because your surrounded." "Not for long!" and in a split second Rodimus Prime changed to his Alternator gold mode and ripped off Shockblast`s gun hand. "Wingdagger take him to holding and have his binaltech removed for our own future use after all he stole it from us 9yrs ago." "Yes sir. Padlock you with me?" "Sure thing Wingdagger."

Back at the academy the D`cons attacks have prompted a few more minicons to find their partners. "What are you doing in here little guy?" Hotshot asked Jolt Meep beep whistle whirlllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll! "What`s that all abou- Wow what power you must be one of those minicons like what Optimus found. Hey Wheeljack, Sideswipe, Smokescreen check this ou- Hey you guys have them too?!?! I think that if we have minicons then we should go help out." "But Hotshot Scavenger said to stay here." "I know that Sideswipe but the 4 of us have been chosen so we should go help are you guys with me?" and they all answered in unison "Yeah. Let`s go trash some D`cons."

Back at what`s left of the med lab. "Redalert I`m not sure what to make of this "minicon" epidemic all of you younger bots seem to be finding them all over the place. I`ve even heard of ones that combine into weapons. Thank Primus that Scavenger had the sense to take those 3 weapons for himself and Optimus Sr." "Dad I want to go help Optimus Jr. I mean with this minicon maybe I could..." "No Redalert you`re needed here." "No dad I`m needed out there." As Redalert disappeared into the distance Ratchet couldn`t help but feel proud of his son for choosing his own path. Although as Redalert reached the front lines which by this point was pretty much most of Iacon he realized he would beneeded as both a medic and a warrior.

Sorry I wasn't able to reply yesterday. Awsome job man. The problem is, is that my dad is trying to network our three main computers at home, and the process has left us without internet access in the meantime. So hopefully by Sunday afternoon/early evening, I'll have internet again.

Chapter 15

 

Red alert drove up the the remains of the bar, and saw Optimus Prime, and another Autobot with him, kneeling on the ground, cradling a body. He transformed and walked up to him.

 

"Optimus. It's me, Red alert. Who's this?"

 

Optimus looked over, whispered something to the other transformer, and walked over and directed Red alert away. "What are you doing here. Shouldn't you be at the backup med....never mind. That's my friend, Jetfire. And obviously, you don't know, but the 'bot that he's cradling is, well was, his mom. And I'm not so sure his neural net state is in great shape. He apparently just found out that his mom was dating Starscream, the one from the Great War. But enough of that. What are you doing here. You don't have military training."

 

Red alert just grinned. "On the contrary Optimus. At the medical training facility, they did teach some basic fighting skills, so that we could, if needed to, fight our way to the wounded still on the battlefield. So I do have some military training. My left arm serves as a multitude of of functions, including both medical and warfare. In battle, it can serve as a subsonic blaster, and for medical purposes, a laser scalpel, an arc welder....need I go on."

 

Optimus just sighed. "Fine. You can come, but you're under my command, got it."

 

Red alert saluted Optimus and said "Yes sir."

 

All of a sudden, Scavenger came running up. "Optimus, look. I've brought some reinforcements from Earth, including Rodimus, Prowl, and my son Landmine. Need any more."

 

From another direction, Optimus heard another voice, but it wasn't a familiar one, but it definitely knew him. "Optimus. We've got some Mini-Con partners, we can help now. This is Sideswipe, Wheeljack, Smokescreen, and I'm Hot Shot. We can help too."

 

Optimus felt like everything was getting pounded on him all at once, and he felt like he couldn't take it. All of a sudden, there was a strange sensation in his chest. He opened it, took out the Matrix, and suddenly, it felt like he was being sucked into another dimension.

Optimus looked around him, and nothing was as it was a moment ago. He didn't even think he was on Cybertron. Then behind him, there was a glow, he turned around, and saw a ball of light. It crept towards him, he touched it, and suddenly, he saw something amazing. The attributes and most definitive moments of each and every Prime since the beginning of Cybertron. Prima, Sentinal Prime, his father, Rodimus Prime. He even saw the fame of those odd Autobot cousins, the Maximals, and the famous and dfinitive moments of their leader, Optimus Primal. He then realized that this was not Cybertron indeed, but infact, the Matrix connecting him to Primus and Vector Sigma. He then realized why. It was telling him that these various characters had had their time with the Matrix, with the exception of Primal, and been effective leaders, and now it was his turn. Then he had the same feeling he'd had when he came to this place, just in reverse.

Scavenger picked up Optimus. "You okay. You kind of spaced out on us for a moment there."

 

Optimus looked up at Scavenger, at Hot Shot and his friends, the backup from Earth, his dad and his friends, Jetfire, and Red alert. He stood up tall. And in a firm commanding voice, he said, "Autobots. A new war has dawned on us. This time, the source of the problem is not only conquest by Megatron, but these Mini-Cons as well. We don't know where they came from, but if we're going to protect them, we're going to need to understand them." He turned to Perceptor, "Perceptor, I want you and Ratchet to find all you can about these Mini-Cons. Prowl, make up some plans for various attacks on the Decepticon headquarters, and you're son can help you if he wants to. Rodimus, I want and your crew to follow my dad's lead. Scavenger, Jetfire, Red alert, Hot Shot, Smokescreen, Wheeljack, and Sideswipe. Come with me. We'll establish a new Autobot headquarters at the old military planning facility. The rest, come with me, and carry whatever you can."

 

He turned to Rodimus, Landmine, and Prowl. "From what I understand about you three, I have a special assignment in mind. I want you to go and find any veterans from the Great War that can still fight, and round them up. We're going to need all the help we can get. The minibots, Blaster and his cassettes, everybody. Got it."

 

Rodimus looked up at him, and nodded. He looked at Prowl and Landmine, nodded to each of them, and they went off.

 

Optimus looked up at the night sky, and just said, "Primus help us. This new war, has only just begun, and casualties are great and costly. I hope that my father is right when he says 'Freedom is the right of all sentient beings.'"

Well, yes and no. While he did hold it for a short time, it wasn't enough to do anything, except leave his own signiature on it. In other words, his mark was on it. So that's why I included him in the Matrix vision. But only because my theory is that he left his mark on it, and it sensed all his accomplishments in the Beast Wars up to that point, and might have had some contact and recording system of the accomplishments after he returned it to G1 Prime.

"Hey Optimus my old friend if don`t mind I`d like to go on the mission with my son Rodimus." "Well sure Rodimus just be carefull." "Optimus I would also like to accompany my son Landmine. Your father and I have trained you well enough that you should be fine leading your group without me." "Sure that`ll be fine."

A short while later. "So dad what`s up why`d you and Scavenger decide to come with me and my crew?" "Your crew huh? You sure have taken to being a leader." " :tfgrin Uh yeah I guess so." "Well the reason Scavenger and I decided to come with you is because of the fact that Scavenger knows where most of the old heros live and they`ll be more apt to join you with my backing of what you`re saying." "Cool so after you talk to them they`ll come help Optimus and the others." "Not exactly as you know I am linked to Primus through my prime power, and he has told me that you are meant to take the minibots such as Bumblebee, Cosmos, Huffer, Warpath, and Powerglide as well as the remaining Omnicons into space and protect the rest of the universe." "You mean that Optimus Sr doesn`t even know?" "No this was a covert operation that I enlisted the aid of Scavenger for. He is going with you to aid you in your decisions and train you to use your abilities." Suddenly VRROOOOOM! a golden car with jet boosters came rooling to a stop just infront of Rodimus Prime. "Masterminicon TRANSFORM!" "Dad did he just say Masterminicon?" "Yeah he did." "Rodimus Prime I am the Masterminicon I am Primus` personal minicon and he has sent me to bring you an artifact of great power some thing that you were supposed to recieve long ago. The Matrix of the Inferno." "It`s cystal is red!?!" "Yes it contains not only the full source of your power and also the sourse of a new ability for your son and his friend Prowl This "Spark of Combination" will eventually be given to Optimus Jr but for now your son needs it more." "So where did you minicons come from?" "We minicons were created long ago by Primus just like the rest of the transformers. However we were given the ability to combine with the larger transformers to boost their power. After our creation Solaritron stole us in the first battle between him and Primus. You see Primus thought that we would give him the power he needed in order to destroy Solaritron but he was mistaken. After that we remained dorment within Solaritron who wanted to use our power to destroy the universe but we went into stasis lock and prevented him from using our power. We awoke a few weeks ago with in the remains of Unicron`s head which orbits our creator Primus- the planet Cybertron, and thus started our current war." "You said that this matrix contains a power for me and Prowl but you gave it to my dad?" "Yes your father is the only person who can open the matrix of the inferno." "So let`s see what this matrix can do." and with that Rodimus Prime opened the matrix of the inferno and gave the power to combine to Rodimus Jr and Prowl. "So guys why don`t you try it?" "Well dad we would but we don`t know how. So Masterminicon could you show us?" "Well I am the catalist for your first powerlink. So Rodimus hold out your arm." "Like this?" "Yes that`s fine Masterminicon TRANSFORM AND COMBINE!" "Wow that`s some power boost you gave me!" "That`s so cool but just one thing I don`t get if the 2 of us combine into one bot that is the same size as each of us were how is this any better than how we started?" You just don`t notice it right now because I`m still connected with you. I must now return to Vector Sygma and report that part 2 of the operation was a success." and off spead the little gold bot.

You see there are some planets out there that are rather unadvanced you should stay away from those planets so you don`t mess up the way they`ll end up." Then just don`t land unless there is no other alternative for instance if you`re out of fuel for the Rodimus One by the way how did you like the flames on the nose cone?" "They`re great just one thing dad how is it that I had planned on landing reporting the news about Arcee and then heading back out to see if maybe she`s still out there. And come to find out Primus had also planned for me to head back out into the universe?" "Well you see Primus is linked with every spark weath they can read his thoughts or not depends on the individual you see anyone how has come in contact with the matrix can here Primus however there are some choosen few who can hear him even with out the matrix." "Wow that didn`t answer my question at all." "Hey now don`t you sas me." "Take it easy Rodimus that`s how kids his age talk to older bots some times he doesn`t mean any disrespect he`s just confused that`s all. Heck I`m a little bit confused my self on this one." "How`s that Scavenger?" "Well this is where Blaster and his wife and his pets the tape bots live but there`s nothing here." "What`s that?" "Oh no it`s one of the tape bots and there`s Blaster or what`s left of him anyway. We should have a moment of silence for our comrad and hope that his passing was quik without too much sufforing." "Good bye old friend you will be missed. Alright let`s hurry and find the rest of the crew that Primus wanted us to assemble. Scavenger you and Landmine go see how many of the minibots you can round up. My son and I will go to the Omnicon school and see how many of the omnicons we can gather. Prowl you go get the ship ready and if anyone asks what your doing just tell them it`d routene maintenance heck actually do some so you`re not lying." "Right."

"Not if used a warp bridge to send them not only through space but time as well. The only problem is getting them all in one place. Why don`t you send some of your troups out on patrol to try and round up as many as possible." "Right away dad. Jetfire your uncle told me he has some thing to tell you." "What ever man I don`t care." "Well you should jeez look your mom`s gone go talk to him he said he had something important to tell you." "Fine!" "Ok now Hotshot and Wheeljack I want you 2 to go search the southn quadrent for any stray minicons and bring them back here." "Yes sir Optimus." "Redalert, Smokescrean and Sideswipe help me get this base up and running before the next attack we have alittle bit of quiet right now let`s use it to our advantage." "Yes sir Optimus"

That`s right Starscream Jr is your little brother. Now I know that you`ll never accept him as your brother just remember that he is and don`t kill him no matter what. This is my last request."
