You two should do a real book about TF. Wonderful story.

So do I. I drew a pretty nice image of G1 Ravage a couple of weeks ago. It's black and white, and in pencil, but if I can get it up, I will. I draw freehand, and sometimes my friends think some of my drawings are too good, that they think I trace. :tflaugh

I had that problem in high school too. I drew this X-Men poster in 6th grade that looked just like the one in the Foxkids Magazine and sold it for $5.00. People swore I had to have traced it but although I did look at the original it wasn`t traced and my friends at the time told everyone who said other wise that if I did trace it they didn`t see how since the poster was directly above the drawing that I was doing.

People just get jealous of other people's skills. It happen to me, in art class I draw F-16, my classmates thought I traced it, the sad thing is evening the art teacher belive them.

Okay. Sorry it's been a while, but here's Chapter 5.

 

Chapter 5

 

Back at the academy, a meeting had just finished up. In the meeting was Optimus Sr. and Optimus Jr., Prowl Sr., Kup, Scavenger, Jetfire, Bulkhead, and Rodimus Sr. via vid-comm. They had all agreed that since Optimus was the head elder on the council, he would put out a missing persons APB on Prowl and Rodimus Jr. and have anybody who sees them report to either Prowl Sr., since he's now head of law enforcement on Cybertron, or Scavenger at the academy. They had also agreed, that since Jetfire and Optimus Jr. were the two Head Students at the academy, they would be on a sort of "search and rescue" probation from their classes. They would check in every breem, no later, and they would report their location, their findings, and any other pertinent information. And that meant a trip to the scanners. They had to choose new alternate modes that would be handy for this mission.

At the scanners, Optimus and Jetfire were amazed. They had heard stories about this place from their fathers, but never actually been there until now. It was now their turn to choose alternate modes, and the start of the new generation of Transformers.

 

Scavenger was with them. "Now boys, listen. I'm going to be here, but Optimus, while I take Jetfire to get him going, your father wanted to meet you outside before you go. He's there now."

 

Optimus looked up and said "Yes, sir."

 

He went towards the door, hearing Scavenger tell Jetfire some important things about choosing. He saw his father waiting for him, in a very familiar pose, what Optimus Jr. had come to jokingly call his "thinking pose".

 

"Dad. Scavenger said you wanted to see me." he said.

 

Optimus looked up. "Yeah. Now, since you're going to do this, I thought that you would like some help. I talked to Scavenger, and he agreed that this was okay with him, but you'll have the ultimate say in the matter. You know Roller. You always treated him like a friend, a buddy, even at times like a brother. Now, I give you the chance to be his partner. I don't need him anymore, I'm not in active duty any longer. If you want, we can have him reformatted to be an add on to your new alternate mode. What do you think?"

 

Before Optimus could answer his father, he heard a familiar beeping. He looked down at his legs and saw Roller doing what his father said the humans called "being affectionate". He figured Roller missed the action and would gladly jump in. He looked up at his father and just nodded, agreeing to let Roller be his partner. He looked down at Roller, and gave a head motion saying "Follow me, partner."

 

Optimus looked at his son. He looked at him no more as a young bot, but as a younger version of himself when he had accepted the Matrix of Leadership, which he thought, was time to pass on.

Out in the wastelands, Prowl fell. Rodimus and Landmine looked back at their fallen comrade. For some reason, Rodimus just took the lead, unsure of exactly why, but he knew aside from the fact that Landmine and Prowl, unofficially appointed him the leader of the A-squad, he for some reason, felt like he had a responsibility to his group members. "Prowl. Prowl, are you all right?" asked Rodimus.

 

Prowl looked up and saw Rodimus and Landmine above him. "Yeah. I think so, but I need some oil. I'm thirsty. Not to mention, I'm think I'm running a little low on Energon in my systems."

 

Before Rodimus could anser Landmine said "Me as well Rodimus. We can't just keep running. We're going to have to stop at some point and either go back, or just sit and rust. This way only leads deeper into the wastelands of Cybertron. Nowhere else. Just essentially to our eventual deactivation."

 

Rodimus thought for a moment. He knew that his new friends needed this stuff, but they couldn't go back very easily, no less, without some form of disguise, and not just transforming into an alternate mode either. He then saw something. He went to investigate. "Rodimus, wait. Where are you going?" Prowl yelled.

 

"Wait there. I'll be right back." he yelled back while running towards what he saw.

 

A few moments later, he came back with some brown cloaks. "These were there. I saw them and thought we could use them to conceal us and not draw any attention to ourselves. This way, we could go back, and replenish ourselves."

 

Prowl and Landmine just looked at each other, then at Rodimus, then back at each other, smiled, and then smiled back at Rodimus.

 

All Rodimus could do was smile back.

"Optimus. You're up." said Scavenger.

 

Optimus looked around. "Where's Jetfire. I thought he was-"

 

"Don't worry, he's finishing up, but they're waiting for you at the moment, for you AND Roller." Scavenger said.

 

Optimus got up and said "Okay. Roller, come on."

 

Roller just followed, with some happy beeps and whistles.

Inside the main room, there were many computer monitors. An Autobot came up to him and said "Okay. Optimus. We're here to assist you in any way in the process. And then we're going to-OPTIMUS PRIME!"

 

Optimus turned around and saw his father, and said "Dad?"

 

But Optimus wasn't looking at his son, but at Scavenger. "Scavenger, can I talk to you for a second?"

"Prime. I don't know about this." Scavenger said. "Don't you think that your son is a little young for this. I mean, it's the Matrix for Primus' sake."

 

"Scavenger. Friend. Understand this. When he was activated, something told me that he was the next in line. I went to Primus, and indeed, he showed me that he is next in line to be the bearer of the Matrix. And I think that now is the time to let him have it. He's being given a chance to lead, and this is what is going to remind him that he not only has a duty to Cybertron, but to his soldiers as well."

 

Scavenger just looked and shook his head. He didn't think he was ready, but Optimus was right. A leader learns how to lead through mistakes and experience. You don't just become one because some one says so. That just gives you the rank, but none of the other things. With that, you're not a true leader. He then looked up at the Autobot Head Elder. "Okay. Optimus, you're right. He's ready. But only if you think so."

 

"I Do."

"MMMM. Is there an alternate mode that my buddy can be reformatted to become a partner for me." Optimus asked.

 

The Autobot looked throught the files. "Would you like him to be a scout partner, or something of more importance, like he can transform and help you in some manner?"

 

"I'd prefer if he could help me. Please."

 

"Okay. We have a truck form that has a trailer that can transform into a base, and combine with you to form something like a "Super Mode" for you. Is that what you would like for Roller and you young sir?"

 

Optimus thought about it. "Yeah. Sure. Let's do that."

While the reformatting team did the reformatting to Optimus, they recieved a package with a note. It read like this:

 

CAREFUL.

 

PUT THIS IN OPTIMUS PRIME JR. A GIFT FROM HIS FATHER. DO IT TO FIT IN THE NEW BODY

Scavenger and Optimus Prime Sr.

 

They did so, and as soon as it was in, it shined a bright light. The Matrix had found a new owner.

Optimus and Scavenger were waiting in the lobby. Then they heard a voice. "Dad, Scavenger. We're ready."

 

They looked up, and they were a little shocked. Jetfire now looked not too dissimilar from his father, Skyfire, and Optimus looked very nice in his new body. Very much like his father, but a little more modern. Then a voice piped up from behind them.

 

"Optimus. Roller's ready, if you would follow me around to the back, I can show you. And your father, and Scavenger, and your friend are welcome to come as well."

 

They followed him around. Waiting there was not a little black six seater scout, but a fully blown mini base, that transformed into a truck trailer. It beeped, not a high pitched beep, but a more mid-toned beep.

 

"Roller. I take it you like your new form." Optimus said.

 

The trailer just hummed with excitement. Optimus turned to his dad. He opened his chest and said "Dad. Take it back. I don't want to break it. I know you trust me and all, but I don't think I'm ready."

 

Optimus was stunned that his son didn't want it. He was about to say otherwise before Scavenger stepped in. "Optimus, listen to me. I also didn't think you were ready. But then I thought of something. This mission that you and Jetfire are going on is going to be very experiencing for you. I talked to your father. He said that Primus himself said that you're next in line to be the bearer of the Matrix. I also thought, that if your destiny is to lead the Autobots, then you need it. It'll give you wisdom beyond your years. And being a leader is not just giving orders. It's also about making mistakes, learning from them, and gaining experience as well. Those are what make you a true leader. And the Matrix gives you confidence, something which at times you will lack. Trust me. Take the Matrix. Step up to the call of duty. Not only to Cybertron, but to the Transformers race. It guides us all."

 

Optimus looked at his father. Then at Scavenger. Then at Jetfire, his best friend. He just nodded. "Do it Optimus. He's right." was his only response.

 

He took it back and put it back in his chest. He then closed his chest, stood up straight, and said, "I am Optimus Prime. Autobot commander. Ready for duty."

 

End of Chapter 5

Perfect exactly what I would have put and a great setup for chapter 6. I should have 6 up tonight or tomorrow morning.

Thanks. I was figuring that if where going where we are with the story Rodimus, we should start setting up the known Armada characters, and some Energon characters as well. We'll have to start the war soon, and introduce the Mini-Cons into the story as well.
