The days of being able to attend a Botcon or official Transformers convention at an affordable price for the majority have come to an end by unfair changes. You'll notice when you look at the registration form that acceptable choices are no longer available to chose from. There has also been a lack of clear explanation about the changes that have been made from previous conventions and, a refusal to maintain a proper dialogue with the fans through the forums. This take "all or nothing, take it or leave it "attitude can not be allowed to continue and it must end here and now. Numerous people are now no longer able to afford to attend Botcon 2005 since they releas…

I went to Wal-Mart today on my break and went to their TF Section to see if they had any of the new N.E.S.T. figs since I spotted and got Recon Ironhide not to long ago from there. Saw a Bludgeon box out of the corner, dug it out and looked inside. Unfortunately I don't have a pic of the problem inside the box, but we've all seen it. A box with a product that is clearly not the one on the box. But this was not just a case of one Transformer in another's box. This wasn't even a Transformer. There was some green and gray robot bull thing in the box. I swear, the people at the returns counter are soooooo stupid. Really, look at the box for a second and you'll…

So, anyone have good things or bad things to say about this company? I was wondering if anyone has ever ordered anything from them. What are the results I'll be expecting?

I cracked open my Dropshot today ( Universe repaint of CD Scattershot)and was reminded of both my love of the figure and my utter confusion as to why they would design him with that fabulous heads up display on his left arm but make it so totally inaccessible by his actual eyes! WTF? I remember these from time to time---here's a great one. What posessed the original 70's designers of the G1 Prime mold to make his gun with the grip on it so it wouldn't sit the way it should in his hand? I recently traded with Liege Evilmus for Universe Hotshot, and I'm glad I did---I really wanted the figure and still like him. But what was the point of continuing with said des…

I've received some insider info about the state of Toys R Us and its plans for the near future, and the trend of losses and store closings is continuing and apparently getting a lot worse, all the way through Kids R Us and Babies R Us. East Coast stores especially are getting a serious run of closings. With the recent loss of FAO Schwartz, the KB Chapter 11, and Toys R Us' past and worsening financial troubles, it seems the toy industry is in a pretty serious slump, like I'm talking very seriously impacting toys as a whole. I've done some (extremely boring) reading and some thinking, and it appears that a significant factor is the shift of what kids are wanting. …
