  1. Edit - 1st response was unnecessarily rude. Thank you for taking the time to shoot and post that... but some constructive criticism. An hour plus watching you transform the thing isn't much of a review. What other toys does this remind you of? What did you like? What did you hate? Could you show it off next to some other toys? Etc... We watch these to see (and hear about) them compared and contrasted to other collection touchstones and to hear the reviewers judgments on it's individual accomplishments and failings. The transformation? You don't need to bother showing every unedited step unless it's included to show something of particular interest (or maybe leave it in in a second "extended edition.") Thanks again.
  2. Great Photoshop(!), but beside the original boxart (and animation errors) G1 Wheeljack always had a black codpiece.
  3. MP styled??? I think this is a pretty great figure, but from the design aesthetic to the materials, this falls much closer to CHUG styling than anything else. And that comparison shot with Classics Prime pretty much seals it.
  4. Make it wall mountable with a plaque, and I'm in!!! ;)
  5. Yup. Winner. This is obviously the most important question. Accoding to this: http://www.robot-japan.com/item/transformers-masterpiece-no10-optimus-prime-version-2.html It seems they'll be very close, if not identical in height. This one could be the winner.
  6. NYC TS TRU had about 10 or more MP Roddys out last night, to the right of the Prime statue.
  7. I'm amazed there's never been one TBH. I even bought MP-02 because I was expecting a trailer to be available at some point (there were some decent prototypes a few years back but nothing ever came of them... but that was before the current climate of Third-Party goodies!!). Sizewise though I bet a Mini-MP-UM with transformable trailer will go a lot better next to MP Rodimus Prime and that nice G1 Arcee... :drool The only problem is that even with some "big" UPgrade through armor, he'll still probably be too small. I was going to buy a Faith Leader because I want my MPs to be in scale, and it looked pretty good next to Grim. But now that MP Rodimus is going to be the same size as Grim, Prime would just look silly next to the both of them (and to be honest, I think Hotrod being the same size as Grim will look silly too). Really wish HasTakTomy would have kept all the MP's in scale.... SO annoying.
  8. I think the price/size of these things rising/falling, respectively, has shit to do with dollar drops, plastic expenses, manufacturing moves, etc... I mean, come on... how much has the cost of any other leader class toy changed in 6 years? BARELY. This is all about what costs the collector is willing to absorb, which they've slowly discovered over several MP releases. Remember the enormous, die-cast laden, Anniversary Prime Hasbro put out just 6 years ago? $55! And they want $200 for Hot Rod(imus) Prime???
  9. Don't know if I'm in the minority, but I own it, and I think it might be the best yet. Also, I rotated the hip panels to the front. There are little angled cutouts in the knees that let them sit perfectly there, and I think it makes it look even better...
  10. Target in Hackensack had lots of new Movie Dlxs. Brawn, Sideswipe repaint, etc... etc....
  11. TRU in Union has a bunch of 25th Anny Primes marked down to $40. I bought one as it's the cheapest "reissue" of him I've seen, and comes with all that other stuff.
