How about going into Walmart picking up a HA Sideswipe, along with other odds and ends. Noticing the cashier didn't ring up the HA Sideswipe but not say anything pay the $15 bill and walk out with the HA Sideswipe? It's not my fault she didn't ring it up, so why should I have to say anything? Is that wrong?

All this goes to show that people at Walmart just don't care. Wonder if I made a friend there, he or she would just give me a box of Transformers for free LOL

I gave all my RAH Joes to my brother in law when the 25th line came out.

 

I felt bad for the guy, my sister sold his $3000 die cast car collection for $80 in a garage sale so she could save for a wedding dress.

 

 

He told me he has them hidden in a box in the basement.

 

When I look at how much I have, yeah I could have sold them, but sometimes it's good to be human and understand this poor shlub just married my sister :P

 

That makes me genuinely sad.

 

I've been with my wife for six years (married for two) and she has no trouble buying me Transformers for B-days, Anniversaries, Christmas, ect. For the holidays she has me give her a list of vintage G1s I don't have but would like and she picks one to look for online. On Christmas she insists on getting things besides TFs but I don't mind. I'm still incredibly lucky.

I'll tell you what's really wrong....

 

 

Going into a Walmart with a barren TF section and then spotting huge pallets full of them wrapped up and placed on top of the huge green racks in the garden shop for weeks on end.

 

I saw about 6 cases of the NEST alliance packs on a pallet last night and who knows what else. They will sit there for god knows how long too. Sad.

 

All too often, Walmarts have had new stuff for awhile but by the time they ever get around to putting it out it ain't so new anymore. I guess that's one good thing I can say about Target, nothing comes in (unless it's being held for new planograms) that doesn't get worked out to the floor. No huge wrapped up pallets full of stuff that nobody knows about hanging around there anywhere.

 

When they've been in reach I go through them myself. The Target I go to in Kankakee is the best. They know I collect and have not only gone to the back room to get extra cases of product already on the shelf but have then helped me go through them to find the best packaging possible. They're an amazing group of guys who could serve an excellent example to other retail employees (one of which I was for several years). They all deserve a raise.

I remember 2 or 3 years ago, right towards the end of KB toys, there was a Cobra action figure gift set that had the Baroness and Destro, but Cobra commander and Major blood was some crappy action figure replacement.

 

Either someone returned it and they put the mixed and matched set out on the shelf, or someone flat out swapped figures on the floor.

 

I was tempted to see if they would cut me a deal on the Baroness and CC, but then I can't start getting GiJoes, no room for another collection.
