anyone remember how in the Marvel G1 comics and prior to the movie, the matrix was not a physical object but a form of energy that was used to give life to new tf's? that's probably what Rhinox was refering to when he said that Prime's spark had the matrix with it.

  3. I've been frequenting message boards of other toylines recently and it seems to me that Transformers fans are widely despised among other toy collectors. And to be quite honest, after lurking around various He-Man, GI Joe, wrestling and movie figure boards, and I can't say this reputation isn't well deserved. I never noticed how negative so many Transformers fans are. Other fans seem to genuinely enjoy their hobbies, but for the most part, Transfans just Starscream and complain about how stupid Hasbro is, and just don't seem to enjoy the hobby, which makes no damn sense to me. Grown men nitpicking about the flaws of children's toys...could it get any sadder than that? Any…

I got the Simon Furman "Ultimate Guide" a week ago and yesterday I relized that there isn't any trees on Cybertron. So does that mean there is no air on Cybertron?

The question is pretty simple -- how do you (generally) collect Transformer toys... and why? I know that most people will probably do a bit of both -- I myself primarily buy the majority of my Transformers while they're current, but once in a blue moon I'll get something that's no longer in production when the opportunity presents itself to me (but I don't really actively do this). So generally speaking, I collect TFs while they're currently in production. This is something I've been doing since 1984 and to me it just makes sense. _________________________________________________ Collecting Non-Current Figures: I don't get it... 7. Philipines Transformers website Cybertron Philipines has posted some size comparison pictures of the "Transformers" movie Voyager class Ratchet figure. The pictures include comparison pictures of his alternate mode and robot mode with that other medic, Red alert. Check out the images in our mirrored gallery. Read the Full News Story Here

Ok, so I was just thinking. Now that we are in the highly futuristic year of 2010, it's been a decade since we entered the highly futuristic year of 2000. In that highly futuristic year, I was still in college (the first time) and working a crummy part time job at Office Max while living with my best friend Chris. As far as Transformers go, it was a good time for my hobby. I was able to buy more Transformers stuff due to a pay raise at work. Due to my free school provided isp, A.T.T use was spotty at best for me. For some reason no two Usenet groups would appear on the same day. So most of my online nerdings was on Excite, MSN, and Yahoo chat rooms with the occasiona…

  9. Okay - here is one for all of the 'mythos' experts out there that's always bothered me. Understanding that Unicron represents evil, and Primus is his counter-balance of good... why does the matrix (the essence of Primus) cause Unicron to explode? Wouldn't the 'equal but opposite' force of the matrix just make things balanced? I mean, why is the matrix strong enough to destroy Unicron with the released energy, but Primus is supposed to be Unicron's equal? *head hurts* :tfhuh

Here's one reason I hate the movie designs. These are supposed to be robots that have been at war for millions of years and yet they still haven't figure out not to exposed their inner workings? That would be like me going to Iraq wearing only a helmet and a jock strap. OK so in Prime's battle mode he get a faceplate Whoopee! He still has all his circuits/wires/hoses hanging out all over the place!
